Yep left sided CB, said to be rated in Europe but I wasn’t sure from his highlight reel, posted a page or 2 back, but what do I know!

Apparently he averages 12.2 ball recoveries per game. Duffy/Gibson averaged 6.5 combined last season.

A slight caution on Córdoba's stats is how the Bulgarian league compares to the Championship.

Martin Frese is officially leaving FC Nordsjælland on a free transfer, could this be our first signing following his manager?

Don't shoot the messenger as I am relying on information from a mate but according to a sports paper over here City have offered Caen £600k for Noe Lebreton. I have not seen him play as Caen are in League 2.

Fortuna Düsseldorf have apparently managed to get the money together to sign Tzolis for the mere £2.5m agreed last season, shocking business if it happens! We could have at least for our money back in him this summer

Interesting! Something always excites me about these relatively low price signings, the potential that they could all be diamonds in the rough. From the below video looks to be a DM.

They are apparently signing Tzolis for peanuts & selling him for multiple times that straight away .

We paid €11m & probably most of his over €1m a year wages .

    If true I'm speechless

Re. Tzolis, the much quoted figure of €11m included add-ons, which almost certainly were never activated. The actual transfer fee paid was said at the time to be in the region of £8.5m. Furthermore, Fortuna are believed to have paid a loan fee of £2m, and had they been promoted to the Bundesliga, they were contracted to sign Tzolis for a further £5m. Factor in some savings on his wages for his two loan spells, and to me it looks as if the deal negotiated last summer was calculated for Norwich to break more or less even in the event Fortuna were promoted. Since they failed to beat Bochum in the play-offs, the end result is a transfer fee loss of £2m or thereabouts. Not great, but not monstrously bad either.
Meanwhile, it seems unlikely that a bevy of clubs will be queuing up to offer Fortuna big money for Christos's services. One stellar season with a club in 2 Bundesliga has to be weighed against his failure with us, his unsuccessful loan spell with Twente, and Bochum's ability to neutralise him in the 2nd leg of the play-off. Tzolis insisted on an exit clause in his contract with Fortuna, but committing to them might be his best route forward. Time will tell.

Whilst I agree with the first part of your post, my opinions differs on the second part. There has been high interest reported in Tzolis from teams in the Bundesliga particularly. It appears that Fortuna are hedging their bets on that, with the rumoured intention being for them to pay our fee and then get a larger fee back from selling him to the Bundesliga. Tzolis has also said he doesn't see himself playing in the german second division next year. Finally it i being reported by the PinkUn that in addition to our agreed fee of £2m to £3m there is also a sell-on clause, which would bring a bit of extra cash our way.

If he thinks he's better than that, he has to prove it, something which he hasn't yet done. "Just go out and play your football" doesn't wash at the top level, anywhere.

I think he is more suited and capable of playing in Germany and could really excel there, you tend to get a bit more space and time on the ball from what I have seen

TransferMarkt has him valued at £1m and he's listed as a DM who can also play as a CM. He played in 27 Ligue 2 games for Caen and 6 cup games. He's played twice for the French U20 team.

    From the Pinkun:

"Reports in Bulgaria are reporting that the 22-year-old will sign a four-year deal at Carrow Road, having completed a medical during a trip to Colney earlier in the week. Norwich have struck a deal worth £3m, according to Bulgarian outlet Gong, with Córdoba convinced to sign for the Canaries during a meeting in Norfolk with new head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup and sporting director Ben Knapper earlier in the week. The Panamanian international now looks set to be officially unveiled next week, with City identifying him as their prime target to succeed Ben Gibson as a left-sided central defender next season."

    https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwic...city-strike-jose-cordoba-agreement---reports/

From Gong in Bulgaria (Google translate):

"Levski is selling its defender José Córdoba to Norwich, Gong.bg learned . The negotiations between the two clubs have ended successfully, after the player himself had already reached an agreement with the "canaries" on his personal terms. The defender's contract will be until the summer of 2028."

    Meanwhile another possibility looms:

"Norwich City target Martin Frese has bid Nordsjaelland an emotional farewell as he prepares to leave them on a free transfer. The Canaries are looking for someone at left-back after the departures of Sam McCallum and Dimitris Giannoulis, and they've taken an interest in the out-of-contract Frese. He worked with City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup while at the Danish club, and is understood to be looking for an opportunity outside his home country."

LB is a key position in Thorup's tactical approach where the RB moves forward and the LB drops into the back three to progress the ball out of defence. Having his own player who knows that approach would be a big advantage to Thorup and for Frese, the move to another country could be easier if he's playing for his former coach. One to watch.
