£479 is still one of the cheapest ST prices in the PL. With the 10 month payment plan an option, it really isn't that bad IMO.

ALL TICKETS will be digital next season, not just season tickets.

Yeah but binning the cheap seats off by stealth is a bit naughty in my view. I said at the time this was clearly what they were doing but were hiding it by focusing on the Northam.

Average of 15% increase but I'd have to pay an extra £140 to renew in an equivalent seat, or £100 to renew in a worse one.

£599 for me to renew. £80 increase. I'm okay with that.

They've left an avenue open for non digital though:

I paid £360 in the cheap section last season so £479 is a 33% increase...!! The season before in the Prem was £400 so £479 is a 19% increase on that. So much for the 10-15% increase.....

£120 increase (if I’m lucky enough to get one of the very few wing seats, there’s literally only two micro blocks outside of the standing section) and booted out of my seat. Most likely I’d have to make do with Chapel behind the goal for a £160 increase.

…Gonna be touch and go methinks, don’t care about comparisons to other PL teams, not pleased.

Also, I have to move from where I am now as that is the new Family Centre so I pretty much have a choice of either block 1 or block 37 for £479 as the other blocks for that price (38-39 & 47-48) are safe standing which I am not up for. Otherwise it's a jump to £519 in the Chapel (44% increase on last eason) or £599 in the 'Flanks' (66% increase). Not happy <grr>

To be fair to them, they did say the 15% number was an average across all zones.

I hope the club get **** attendances next season and it looks horrible on tv. Need teaching a lesson.

Although I’m sure the PL only fans and corporates will ensure the likes of us are not missed.

I didn’t expect the cheap section to last and thought it was a great incentive by the club last season, but £120 (unlikely) to £160 minimum increase + being forced to move is way too much.

Edit - Ok I’ve calmed down now.

Which is why it was painfully obvious they were binning off the cheap section when they announced all of this.

Over £100 extra for an equivalent seat after being forced to move is a joke whatever way you want to put it though.

So about a fiver a game? Doesn’t seem too crazy considering we are in a higher league

And they dropped prices last year. And the previous administration had prices frozen for a few years.

Not too horrendous, I don't think. Also could see this coming when they offered the Northam at early bird, lowest prices.

Nah would be more than that cos less games. Mine worked about 16 quid a game this season I think.

Equivalent seat would be £27 per game.

Yeah fair enough, I just did 100/19

£27 a game doesn’t feel too bad to me for a PL game in isolation but appreciate its a big rise

Wow, I'm not sure you can even get in at L2/National League games for that price anymore. I think last season I was paying £22 per game, averaged out, and next season I'll be paying £31 per game.

Na, in reality if you have gone from cheap seats to wings (it will be very hard to get an ST here) it will be roughly a £10 increase per game, about £12 increase per game for Chapel goal which is the next cheapest. £17 increase per game for Flanks.

Yeah many of us called this happening.

I don't think it's too bad for people outside of the cheap section. That section being removed entirely is where the problem lies in my view.

No doubt at all that this will price many of those fans out of this season. An over £100 increase is huge in the current climate.

Yes it was extremely good value. The club deserved (and got) huge credit for offering a small section of cheap season tickets to make it affordable for fans during a period of low disposable income.

And now they'll get (and deserve) criticism for removing that option for fans.

Let's be honest, £359 for a ST for 23 games was ridiculously cheap. Inevitable that price was going to disappear IMO. Maybe it could have been communicated better, but I don't think £479 is an unreasonably high lowest ST price.
