She doesn’t need the sympathy vote, she has one of the biggest majorities in Parliament. She’s trying to bounce Starmer into supporting her candidacy; for what it’s worth, I think he should back her.

The "reports" she was referring to yesterday morning were from The Times which broke the story the night before and then a number of other papers, TV and radio that followed suit. Here it is in its entirety. She probably went off the same "reports" when she texted the Newsnight bod. Bearing in mind Newsnight were the ones that reported that a decision had been made on her investigation 5 months ago. And no one in the Labour party has told her. It's understandable if she's finding all this out through the fcking press and not through the actual Party you can forgive her for thinking if one thing is true then so is the other! Also Starmer is being very sleight of hand with his words. He's saying "no decision has been made to bar her from standing" which is not the same as saying "we are not barring her from standing".
