I posted that, Potter was apparently approached first but knocked us back not wanting a championship job.

He's been out of work for over a year now, maybe he can't afford to be so choosy.

I think Potter would be a good appointment, he was my preferred option when we appointed DF. The problem as I see it, is he’d need to come this summer to help build for a promotion push. Don’t think that’s gonna happen, as the club seem happy with the job DF’s done. Personally I’m not convinced DF would be able to take the club to the next level, if promoted.

On transfers, I’d like to see us test Plymouth/Rooney on the subject of Morgan Whitaker. Think he could perform at the highest level. He might be affordable, he also might fancy playing regularly at ER, with the support he’ll get.

They've been quoted saying they're only interested in bids of £20m upwards, so that rules us out. Thought their left back looked decent against us and when I watched them against Leicester

So it appears Aaronson definitely hasn't got an extended loan contract and is looking to fight for his place here next season.
Jon Newsome (I think it was) said his physique is more suited to the ladies team than the Championship

He was the first one to jump ship too wasn't he? Literally hours after the final game of the season (I know the others followed pretty sharpish).

I think you're correct, he's been saying since Christmas that he was coming back. Strange because his first half dozen games for us he looked pretty decent, then he looked like a list lamb after that. Problem being, who the feck would buy him, I think we'd pretty much either have to give him away or look for a couple mill loan deal at best.

He has been my choice for the past 5 or 6 years. However think the club approached him during last summer and he wasn't interested.

Now whether that was because he just didn't want the job, was hoping for a premier league offer or just taking time out of football, who knows.

Apparently Conor Roberts wants to stay and Farke wants him but Burnley are having non of it, citing they aren't going to assist a team that they see as direct competition for promotion next season. You can't really blame them but he only as 12 months left on his contract

I seem to remember him saying he wanted 6-12 months out of the game and then assess his options

Was it him that we'd tried to sign in the Jan transfer window the season before but he said he wanted to stick out the rest of the season with RB Salzburg because they were in the Champions League? Or was that some other useless twat that we didn't end up signing?

I just googled him and he's still only 23 (I thought he was older) so he could improve I guess (can you hear the sound of straws being clutched?).

If he couldn’t handle the physical side in the premier league where you’re barely allowed to tackle, there’s no way he’ll cut it in the championship.

Rutter got it sussed and is very good and riding tackles or shrugging people off. BA could do with learning from him.
Gnonto needs to learn from Rutter too.

It's not impossible but doesn't seem likely, at least Rutter has a decent physique Aaronson is built like a 14 Yr old.

So it appears only Roca and Harrison can carry over their loan exit deals, the rest have to come back on half wages, very interesting if true.

Although if we are going to get rid of Gnonto, we do need to replace him , and Brendan will be the ideal player to go and cry to the ref about the big nasty man pushing him over ;)
