    In an attempt to get back to football on a day when I personally still feel massively shellshocked, I was wondering, how soon do people predict we'll reach the magical 40 pt mark?

    Last season, despite thinking we had a great year, it took us until the 33rd game on the 19th April 2011 before we got there (much later than I remember it to be honest!)

    This year though, with the points we already have on the board leaving us needing only another 14 'till safety, l I feel confident it'll be a much easier affair, but the question is, how easy?

    Few points:
    - I ended at Swansea 'cause if we don't beat last years record, then this thread is fairly irrelevant!
    - Earliest we could mathematically get to 40 pts is game 18 against Bolton.
    - Newcastle's class of '94 took until the 23rd game of the season, hitting 40 points whilst in 5th place and going on to finish 6th
    - I personally think we'll pip them and get it done in the 22nd game against Fulham!

    25 for me. I can see a blip coming up soon. Can see it happening in December/January.

    Still, its ****ing incredible we've made it till the end of November, with just 1 defeat!
