I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘R’ word was in the headlines for many January’s to come. Without Mr Cameron at the helm I’d hate to think of the state that Broken Britain would be in right now. Onto the old ponies and the one that I’m really looking forward to making her jumping bow today is Mr Henderson’s Lifestyle at Folkestone (1.00). What a lovely name for a mare by the way. She’s won 4 out of her 8 starts to date and has always been a fave of mine. Really matured towards the backend of last term and put up some nice displays. However, the mare is a ‘no bet’ for me today for a couple of reasons – (i) I just don’t know how good her rival, Temple Lord, is. Has hinted at being potentially very useful as he’s a triple winner at Listed level over hurdles in France and on only his 2nd chase start got to within a length of Moon Over Miami when in receipt of just a pound and (ii) odds of 8/15 are no value whatsoever, and I do mean whatsoever. But very decent of Mr Henderson to show his faith in the Bass boy and put him up on such a nice ride. I hope they score.
English (yorkshire) and German Ron with a smattering of French. I can order beer in 15 different languages 12.45 Ffos Las Hollow Tree (tote place - manilla envelope A4)
So just German then Oddy? RV, not had to get my goalkeeper to play as a striker yet, must try that at some point (LDV trophy perhaps)
Was going to mention the former Michael Stoute runner Bugaku in the 1.45 at Ffos Las - not sure how much he will like "soft, heavy in places" though.
Cheers SBC and Swanhills, il have to wait til later then. SBC.....It realy will be judgement day for Tataniano, though I'm not convinced he has the class of Kauto Star, Twist Magic or Master Minded, so I've got a feeling Nicholls run of success could come to an end. I'd be interested if either of the Hobbs stable stars, Captain Chris or Wishful Thinking line up
Hi guys, I've had a fair punt on the APPRAISE horse Ohio Gold 1.30Folk at 4/7 with bet 365 and expect this to win ...not an option now though at 4/9.... Another few i fancy today best prices quoted available.... 1.15 Super Directa 10/11 2.55 Azione 11/10 3.10 Reblis 3/1 At the weekend thought Peddler cross was majestic almost faultless, and he seems to look much quicker over the ground this year......also Overturn did Oscar Whiskys form no harm as although i bet Overturn the week before i think Oscar W might have nailed him close home that day.....for me Oscar W looks the only credible challenge to Hurricane at the moment. Be Lucky...
