She say's some of the most ridiculously stupid **** though.

Her controversy section on wikipedia is uncomfortably long.

    I'd get rid.

Looks like it may be true.

It comes as fresh reports from Press Association suggest she was given back the Labour whip on Tuesday - but sources to The Times said such a move would allow her to leave politics “with dignity” rather than stand again for the party.

Considering the backlash, albeit probably in a bit of an echo chamber, I’d argue he’s made the more difficult decision at least for the short term.

Indeed I doubt some bod in Scarborough gives much of a **** either way but distancing himself further from Corbyn is no bad thing. Lots of hysteria in the not real world of Twitter obviously but that’ll be replaced by the next thing and the next.

I would still like Fosse’s Pinot Noir paragraphs though.

Well if it's all about the win, if that's all that matters irrespective of what the party represents then yeh, but I think plenty who are Labour voters or left of centre won't look at this in isolation and wonder what the Labour party stands for. Especially when they're getting rid of Abbott and welcoming in the likes of Elphicke.

The win is the main thing. Get that done and worry about the other **** later. The Elphicke thing was more a **** you from her and him to Sunak. Doubt he’d have had her if she wasn’t ****ing off. It’s a dirty game whether you win or lose so might as well win.

I doubt keeping Abbott would've prevented any of that. The idea reappointing her would've remotely dented the win against this shower of **** smacks of weakness and fear (was going to say cowardice but probably too strong a word).

Anyway looks like it's done, sad loss for the party imo. Even when Blair was running he still kept those left of centre stalwarts. It was a broad mix.

Withholding the whip from Corbyn and freezing out Abbott are two things I’m not particularly delighted about. But courage is exactly what he’s shown in taking on the left. It took Neil Kinnock, John Smith and Tony Blair 15 years to do what Starmer’s done in five - turning a party reeling from defeat into one preparing for government. The real test comes after July 4th.

Kinnock and Smith turned the party fine, they fcked up bcos they spelled out every cost and spend in a manifesto and opened themselves up for annihilation. Blair still had plenty of traditional left wing MPs including his cabinet - Cook, Prescott, Dobson, Short and others I cba to look up. We've got Rayner now and that's it.

Abbott was akin to any one of them. She isn't Derek Hatton and this wasn't some council trying to hand out redundancies to blackmail a tory government that Starmer was seizing on to make a political point about change.

Fun fact about Stalin. He only died eight years before Spurs last won the league.

Honestly even in the Blair years pre-97 with all the changes the party felt Labour regardless of the rebrand. There were ppl in there who represented enough socialist values but done with sound economic stability. This right now, I'm beginning to wonder wtf they stand for. And tbh they're just taking my vote and many others like me, for granted.

The funny thing is I heard ppl saying this a month or two ago and I pushed back against it. But now I'm changing my mind. I'm genuinely beginning to wonder who else is out there to offer any choice.

I agree with Archers that what matters is what they do once they get into power. But I have a feeling they'll be walking over broken glass all the way to placate social media and the press.

Hardly a Stalinist purge, getting rid of two MPs. Especially the two faces who just happen to be the most closely associated in the public’s memory, with epic failure.

I mean, they're a left leaning big tent party under Starmer is all. pretty standard party you find right across the continent.

He knows that, unlike Reform on the right wing, the left have no real pressure group to fear. The Greens are, ultimately, a ****ing joke. Whilst the Liberals have left wing social policies, economically they are always going to be more right leaning simply due to being Liberal and wanting a smaller central government.

The SNP are no different, they are in all essence Liberals with some social policies that are popular and built on debt that is impossible to default on because of the British government supporting it.

Keir has no real opposition now, he can build a party to win an election and have very little fear of voters falling off and joining some competition.

The only party gaining seats in recent elections are the LDs and they're not even campaigning in Labour targets

I don't particularly have any expectation of them, there's going to be no money left in the kitty. All I know is Rishi and Co need to go.

I see I have two choices and that will be either Labour or don't vote. I can't vote for the Lib Dems not after the way they were during Brexit, and the Greens have got no fooking chance, I can't remember that old bats name that use to sit in the commons.

I just want someone middle of the road that will get on with our neighbours in Europe. Who will make an effort overtime to improve the NHS. sort out whatever needs to happen with schools and prisons. I don't really ask much from them, just keep your head down, get on with it and make friends not enemies.

Corbyn and Abbott have never been on my mind in the run up to this GE, I couldnt' care less if they were in or out of Labour, it would have no affect on my vote whatsoever. They have a right to their views and I don't believe in shutting them down, no more than I'd agree in shutting Farage down. Well actually I'd be happy if someone gave Tice a smack in the gob, I can't abide aggressive politicians.

Don't go putting taxes down and don't go bribing pensioners, we have bills as a country to pay, and things can't change if you go throwing money down the drain to win votes, I didn't agree with it when I was young and was bringing up a family and I don't agree with it now.

In the British electoral system it doesn't really ****ing matter anyway.

You could vote for some **** wearing a bin on his head and you'll make the same impact on the election.

My old constituency is on average 70% Labour, even when the Labour party are absolutely ****ing dreadful.
