I think Howe has too much of a say on things based on a few reports that suggested Ashworth was irritated by it... it might also explain why the bloke at that massive club Palace rejected us. Newcastle at the moment is looking a bit daft tbh.. when the takeover went through they made very bold claims they'd win the league in 5 years, but the reality is settling in now that it's going to be about trying to be a top 6 club for the next decade.
I have no issues with us trying to be a top 6 club. I have even come to terms with the fact we probably won’t win much in the next 5 years either because of the way the dirty half dozen have set things up. Howe having the control isn’t a problem providing we are moving in the right direction.
I know I think top 6 is a realistic aim and not easy... there's 6 clubs that are way ahead of Newcastle in every way shape possible..... I tried explaining that finishing 4th once has changed nothing in that regard. Newcastle are where they should be, so Howes doing well even if he has made errors... he's human and there's nothing wrong in a balanced view. Staveley and Co have clearly begun to realise what they're really dealing with... there is no way on Earth that Newcastle can win the league in 5 to 10 years.

Nickson, as Magdad said, is a scout and deals with finding players. This position is for someone who links all departments. People (not aimed at you) still seem to think that it was DA signing players.

No. He may well be given the role of signing players and signing them off but I doubt he’s involved say with the medical team.
Wasn't them that released the story... ultimately he's got the the requirements though. I'd be happy with him after what the last one did.
