Yeah, I can't see it happening tbh We've got options on the left and what we really need is a dedicated striker who has that ruthless streak in front of goal Rashford is brilliant on his day, but he seems to have lost his way a bit at Utd. I was surprised to hear that his release clause is just £42m, because I think there are a few clubs who'd be willing to take a punt
Tbf, a high number of your lot were calling for his head in March, so can see it not bothering a few, he's certainly got the ego for the Chelsea job. I've seen a lot of West Brom since Corbean took them over, you'd not like what he dishes up, done well getting them to where they are but it's not pretty, modern day George Graham.
I can't get my head round him being gone, as you say plain bonkers, but Maresca would have a decent team to inherit, just needs to sort out their discipline - I can't bear twattish players, hoepfully Cole Palmer stays and they don't sell him to the highest bidder.
Let's not forget Maresca got the bullet after 6 months in charge of Parma, who had a decent squad and should have pissed seria2 that season.
Latest 'rumour' is that King Power have already lined up the manager of our Belgian sister club OH Leuven, Oscar Garcia - he kept them in the Belgium top flight against all the odds - exactly what he'd need to do for us!
whats going to happen with havertz if you get this new super striker? He's best position in your side is as a false 9 and he doesn't really work in the midfield 3 as odegaard is the one who needs the free role
Havertz showed that he can play a number of roles this season. Scoring and assisting in a number of different ways (as you found out lol) I agree that his best position is as a false 9, but Havertz can also play on the left or deeper in midfield. He's a versatile player and would still fit into a team with a more traditional striker up front.
Its total madness. Egbhali and Co dont want a manager who is respected and who's word carries weight because they want to run the club how they want, which would be okay if they had a ****ing clue how to run a football club. You dont want a manager who will want a say in how **** is done, oh no, that would be silly, especially since the manager is always the first to get sacked when **** goes sideways. I have to agree with everyone who is saying Maresca will be gone by, or just after Christmas, when we are sitting in 6th place and 4th is looking out of reach. And thats being generous. I am only predicting that on the proviso that our new players finally looked to have gelled somewhat at the back end of last season. Also they need a manager who wont complain when the best performing players, like Gallagher and Chalobah, aint sold out from underneath them to Tottenham, because Boehly and co want to make Enzo Fernandez work, when he is clearly ****e.
