I hope folks hang around, but nobody should feel obliged. We don't make a circle of wagons here and brand anyone who leaves for a while (or posts elsewhere sometimes) a traitor. Life's too short to fight inter-forum wars. A bit of banter and leg pulling isn't going to hurt anyone though.

Rumours are rumours and should always be acceptable. Mocking of other posters, or indeed the forum itself, are not and will be robustly challenged whenever they happen.
I like CL's rule that you're not allowed to post about other forums, and argued for it to be applied on ere, but was shouted down.
Must have been before my time. I would have voted for a compromise - not an outright ban on commenting on other forums, but some limits to prevent repeated, monotonous, negative posts about other forums.
Yes, and Erasure. I'm being serious, I'd go and see them in concert. One of the best gigs I have been to was in the early 90's at Wembley Arena, Village People supported Gary Glitter.
