Now being reported Ellis & Co are entering due dilligence to study the accounts & will decide in the next few weeks whether they will make a bid for the club Talk of another 2 interested parties but thats probably bullshit, surely they would announce the names of said parties?
Not necessarily Brum, before Pompey entered Admin there were a few interested buyers who did not disclose there identities. The more interested parties the better for Rangers
**** example There were claimed to be interested buyers......perhaps to make somebody put a bid in because there wasn't actually anybody? Nobody bought the club & they;re now in Admin An interested party can not withold their interest as the Stock Exchange must be notified
Why would anyone buy a club when Admin was looming, they would wait and buy it for at a cut price. I thought the stock exchange was notified when an offer was to be submitted?
No if you are interested in buying the club the stock exchange must be notified that talks are being held, hence they were notified last week of the interest of Ellis but he has still to make a bid. The guy acting as receiver for pompey is talking boolocks. There a re interested parties everyday......yet they've gone bump They lose 9 points & are certain for relegation which will cost them about ÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââ¬Â âââ‰â¢ÃÆÃâÃââÃÆââââ¬à ¡ÃâìÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâáÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¡ÃÆÃââââ¬à ¡ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã40m, half their players are on loan & will have to go back to the parent club & decent players will want to leave for an EPL side. Hardly a more glamourous propostion than a team with a fighting chance of EPL football with those 9 points.
The selling company must inform the stock exchange of every interested party - as said if there were 3 definite groups looking to buy the share price would soar as it'd be almost like an auction between the buyers to buy the club. Not sure if this guy Ellis will buy it. At the moment they are saying he is looking through the accounts - I'd imagine therefore a ballpark figure to buy the club & other critical information would have been discussed & agreed on for him to look in to it deeper. He's not going to look at the accounts then say how much you want? He may look at the accounts & offer less mind or he could decide there's not much scope for him to do business - not sure how much cash this group have behind them. If he likes the accounts he will then put in a firm official bid & have to discuss what his plans are to the panel Rangers have set up who will have certain questions lined up I'm sure..............but this is where he ****ed up QPR before by trying to move grounds & ****!!!
Dont think that this forum, especially with Brum on it, is a place I'll pick up many useful tips or facts on Corporate Finance so with that in mind...... do you think it will happen Brum ?
I just said I don't know I don;t know Ellis, I don't know how much he has behind him, what state the accounts are in, what plans he has or anything. I'm simply telling you what is out on the Beeb These takeovers can take ages, even more so in cases of football clubs who generally want certain traditions kept and investment. If the consortium has enough to buy the club in a bid to remove the debt only then I can;t see it going through. The current board & fans will want investment in the team, youth etc. If he can pump moneyin, agrees a price & has the approval of the panel Rangers has set up he will still need to ballot shareholder should it be a complete takeover - if he has a stupid idea like at QPR the fans will not allow it to happen. Rangers need somebody in soon to address contracts & summer signings before the end of the season.
Is it not more like 60% tommy? Rumour previously was that Murray was keen to hang on to some of his shares & only sell the majority sharehold on so he could ensure the club is run ok.
Fair doos Brum, you never maid such a claim But in my opinion these type of high finance deals are always done with the upmost secrecy, and I just cannae go all the amateur conjecture that goes along with it. But **** it, what do I know, I'm just a **** from Paisley
