Technically Newcastle could now - legally - prevent Ashworth from ever working for Man Utd. A little gem called sharing of trade secrets to a competitor if he has been disclosing our transfer targets and policy.
Also looking at Ratface bringing the game into disrepute by failing to treat another club and its officials with "utmost good faith".
So why isn't this revelation all over the BBC and Sky websites, when Ratcliffe saying Ashworth shouldn't be on garden leave was deemed big news?
Have I got this right, Ashworth was talking to someone on "gardening leave" before he ended up on "gardening leave"?City and us ain't going to be too happy!
Exactly. Or more the point, it reflects badly on their beloved Manul United and we can't be having that.
Berrada - whilst on gardening leave from Man City (using an INEOS e-mail account) e-mail chain with Ashworth whilst still employed by Newcastle and prior to asking NUFC permission. Ashworth informing him of the compensation NUFC paid Brighton, the terms of his contract and other information.......which the thick **** then bc'd on to his NUFC email address. Which has been found and leaked just in time for arbitration
So the two of them are in the **** but nothing will come of it when manure have the PL's ear, wrong though.
I suspect legally. We will be all over this. Doesn’t help us in our DoF search. But we can probably stop Ashworth taking up any meaningful role. Forever because he’s a rat.
Last team to be found guilty of tapping up were Liverpool back in 2017 with a Stoke youngster. They were fined £100,000 and banned from buying youngsters for 2 years. Sporting director being tapped up - Would be funny as **** if it's a full transfer ban for 2 years as Dan will be looking for a new job by then
Sounds like the only thing he definitely did wrong was leaking the value of the compensation we paid Brighton for him. Rest of the stuff sounds like it was his own contract terms which he is perfectly entitled to inform other potential employers about, unless there is a clause in his contract saying he can't release the terms of his contract to 3rd parties. We need to stop ****ing about with this and move on. By all means force him to complete his gardening leave if we want to continue paying him for it but best bit would be to negotiate compensation and forget him.
