Jones and Quansah included in the expanded England squad (can’t imagine either will be included when comes to final 26 though). Surprised Jones is in ahead of Elliott who has been far better this season especially last few months where Jones has been injured.
Huge reward for quansah just to get to go the the expanded squad. Really great news for him. Jones hasn't a hope but again it's a nice reward but possibly shows the state of England's midfield zone behind the attacking cms like Bellingham, foden, saka etc Al. Can we really say Jones has done e ough after injury to be in tje mix?
Loads of defenders still. Loads of attackers too but only six midfielders, one of which is Trent (not a midfielder)
He might go 3 at the back again which might allow them to drop Maguire which again would be a good call. Left wing back is the issue then. He has walker, stones and Braithwaite for that back 3. Could put trent at wing back or 6. He could play saka as a wing back and get fofen and player in But he will probably pick 6 defenders and leave the attacking talent out
It was always a car crash waiting to happen after their summer window. They need to balance the books to avoid a points deduction, and the easiest way to do that is to sell players the manager would want to keep.
