This thread and the one over the road are absolutely full of ****e. Half of it because random people are posting ****e on twitter pretending to have inside knowledge. Then other people spreading those stories with absolutely no ability to filter the ****. Then escalating it by reading the other forum and saying "over there they're saying this" and it snowballs even though the original content was ****e. Then you have the banter lads over the road who think it's a great laugh to joke about **** managers or Dodds etc. It's impossible for an ordinary fan to just see what the latest news is.
Id say quite a lot of good posters on here have posted the recent news with it being still who’s close. I know I’ve shared stuff from RTG etc but I’m only doing it with good intentions not to make the thread ****
I don't know much about Ligue 1 but it looks like Roy's done a cracking job. I think you've said before he was keen on the Sunderland job, if he wasn't considered for it he probably should have been.
I don’t think they'd have let him go without a fight and I think the champion's league is a hell of a motivator to stay. Just don't see us getting it done. Our next next manager maybe.

See this is the thing, it's not news. There's nothing in the news. If someone posts something saying that they've heard or aware of something that's up to them and we can choose to believe it or not. You've just posted that "other people said this" and saying it's news. You've quoted someone from rtg saying it's done, the same person from rtg a day later saying Norwich are after him and it's not done, someone else from rtg who was joking about it being done, the twitter comments thinking it's Rosenior and then a back and forth with some random on Twitter who is saying the players don't want Still. Literally nothing has happened (maybe we're close to getting Still) but you have 5 narratives going on in the same thread from everywhere else. I'm not suggesting you have anything but good intentions, but it's difficult when people check back here for news and there's 30 new pages on the thread to read through which include a bloke who named himself flapjack on twitter who told you that the players don't want Still - that's not news.
Think you have to adopt the attitude that no-one has any actual fact based news to pass on,and what's happening is not news,but speculation. Some lads on here are passing on,in good faith,some informed speculation,but we have to accept that's all it is. Unfortunately,there are any amount,a lot from otr who,for their own mischievous,self serving ends,try to turn speculation into news,and who should be ignored.
He was never even spoken to by KS. Eric was offered to us twice due to ties with the family. Eric was KLDs dad 1st Adidas sponsored layer at Marseille their dads were great friends.
Genuine question, I haven't followed his career but know he is doing well now. When he was offered to us, was he doing a head coach job? Had he started at Brest? Honestly as much as you have always pushed for him, way back before Brest as far as I recall, I don't think until recently his coaching experience suggested he would have been a success and a good choice for us and now I assume it is too late why would he move now?
Managed Nice for a year 2010-11. Then was sporting director at Lens and at Watford for short spells. At nearly 57, rightly or wrongly, it would seem he doesn't fit the profile that the club have been looking at.
