Hope Will Still gets to bring in the men he wants, however, I've just seen De Zerbi brought 7 in with him and they're all leaving. Quite an upheaval, fair enough bring a few but 7 is ott imo. Wouldn't fancy doing that everytime we bladdered someone
Sounds like he will be bring 3 or 4 in with him - thats what ive been told but its 3rd hand info so unsure how true it is
If you want the man then I suppose you let him bring in who you want. Is it a good idea to leave staff in place from previous failings? Dissenting voices who aren't pulling in the same direction as the new main man? Each approach will have positives and negatives but for this next appointment, I'd prefer a clean sweep of all old staff, Dodds et al. can all go, or be moved into different/old roles for me and the new Coach bring in his men who can implement his style and philosophy.
That's good, hopefully it's who he wants and trusts. One of O'neills downfalls was not having Robertson with him. I can see Dodds staying as first team coach. Proctor is best mates with David Bruce so I can't see him being layed off. Maybe back into the 21s or academy. Hope Alessandro stays, lives not far from me and is a class bloke
Think dodds n proctor will be away, unsure on Alessandro tbh as i wasnt told about him Sounds like his brother is coming as assistant and another coach is coming in as 1st team coach (unsure on the 3rd or 4th membero of staff)- obviously if Still is confirmed, sounds like its pretty close but not totally there
Know much of still from inner circles? Feel free to tell me to mind my own business haha, from the outside it all looks positive appears he has the self belief and confidence needed to do well here
Keeper coach is normally one of the more dispensable roles tbf. Hope he brings that Escobar with him. His brother has only been with him for this season and they've went to **** since Xmas
Asked my mate who scouts in France and he speaks highly off him but says its more from a distance as doesnt know him personally Did say he is well liked by players and they always worked hard for him - pretty good tactically and his teams are normally very well organised
Appreciate that, feel like he is more Alex Neil than Tony Mowbray, really think he’ll be a good fit here
Definitely would want Escobar to come with him and a couple of others. I think its important for the club to have some degree of continuity but also for the new head coach to have continuity in terms of being able to work with people he is familiar with.
Aye thats a pretty good comparison. Reckon he will have us pressing high and we will be a pretty fit hard working team but dont think we will see the football that TM had us playing
Think that’ll be enough to get the crowd onside, hopefully get the SOL bouncing again, no place like it when we’re all pulling together
Yeah he should definitely be able to bring in who he wants, within reason imo. I wouldn't want him having 7 with him, just to replace them all once he eventually leaves. I'm not totally sure how it works tbh. For example, could he bring in an assistant manager and first team coach to work alongside Proctor and Dodds? Or would that be overkill? Would it be beneficial for more 1 2 1 training? I've no idea how it works. Probably all budget related.
Upthere over on RTG has just said “we need to get this done before Norwich come in” wonder if they are sniffing about
