Think we'll see Routledge for Sinclair at the start of the second half .

Emile Heskey did a hell of a job man-marking Britton, now that he's off we've come into it more. Villa have been filthy, Herd with another nasty tackle on Dyer, his 4th foul if I'm counting correctly, and no booking. How they've still got 11 men I don't know.

0-0. The game never really got going did it? I was shocked and disappointed at how "physical" Stoke...I mean Villa were throughout. Herd should've been booked, and Hutton's tackle on Taylor was a red card any day of the week. Sinclair should've got at Hutton more second half, and I'm disappointed it was Dyer subbed not him, he's been poor in my opinion for the last few games, and flatters to deceive. Too often, when we're breaking, Sinclair is static waiting for the ball, when if he makes a burst he'll drag the full back away and create more space for us to go through the middle... some would call it being lazy...

In retrospect, a point gained at home after Swansea's poorest performance at the Liberty so far. It may well be critical come April. Who know's exactly how the tragic news had an effect on many of the players today.

The moment silence generating into a standing ovation was the real class on show today. Silence or applause... it is your choice and respectful nonetheless. RIP and thank you Speedy, LEGEND.

They came to kick us off the park, says it all for their manager, and we failed to target that numpty Collins at the back, Rangel and Graham off injured, but Jazz Richards did well, but disappointed we didn't bring Dobbie on as this type of game would have suited him, we are definitely light in the final third, and that is something that will need to be addressed in the January window, at the end of the day though a game that was overshadowed by the sad passing of Gary Speed

Thought we were poor today, have to agree with Sinclair, I've been disappointed with him for most of the season. Dyer by far the better of our wingers. Think we let this one slip, but after everything that's gone on today, a point in these circumstances is a welcomed point. Now on to Blackburn and get our first away win.

I still fancy Scott through the middle though. Who can remember Henri the wingers standout performances? Who remember's Gower the wingers standout performances?

Very sad day today , and a very subdued atmosphere at the Liberty, sat with the usual suspects today and none of us could bring ourselves to get behind the team, think all the players were feeling the effects.

RIP Gary Speed , and condolences to his young family

They were certainly lucky to finish with eleven men courtesy of a benevolent referee. I had many reservations about our play today but more later....... and we should not use poor Gary Speed's demise as an excuse. It was the same for both sides and radio commentators said that James Collins did not want to play and had to be coaxed on to the pitch.

i eventually decided to go to the match after the sad news and even though i was there i was not there if you know what i mean....I think more now that the game should have been postponed and played later.

Didn't mean to imply that, Jager. Just saying that the game was played in a sombre atmosphere but that wasn't the reason, imo, for a bad performance. We were lousy.

Ivor they were worse, reminds of the qpr team that came down to kick lumps out of us when dorus was injured, the only difference was villa had shots on goal, and was by the worse team for fouls I have seen at the liberty, oh except that cup game against , well have mental block can't think lol

It was pretty bad wasn't it? Ref completely bottled the decision to send Hutton off, and how Herd didn't get at LEAST a booking for 3 or 4 fouls is beyond me. 3 of our players injured... and people say you get "more protection" in the Premiership, while Alan Hutton is a free man? Don't make me ****ing laugh.
