There’s always going to be 1 or 2 unhappy players, he’s just pointing out the obvious. Probably the players who know they will be replaced once a more switched on head coach is appointed.
Who is likely to be looking for a new manager/head coach or changing the one they had this summer then? I’ve got: Liverpool Man U Barca Bayern Real(?) Brighton Ajax Feyenoord Milan Juve Hull Plymouth Norwich I’m sure there’s lots of others I’m missing but it feels like a lot.
You’re right, he seemed very well liked by the players at Reims mind. Judging by their reactions on social media at least. I know there’s bound to be a couple in their ranks that won’t have liked him though, it’s inevitable.
Interesting reading Reims fans’ opinions on him, not exactly glowing, but practically mirror our fans’ more negative comments on Jobe.
Twitter is now full of people scrambling over the fact Rosenior has been mentioned by Nixon. Hope we get a report or announcement on Still soon haha
I think it’s always a lot. With average tenure of a football manager somewhere around 18-24 months from a quick google search (data analysts have nothing on me), 92 teams in pyramid then reasonable to estimate 46-61 clubs looking for manager though season. Say 2/3 in summer and rest in Christmas panic the list of clubs looking for new managers in England would be 30-40 long right now. Absolutely mental. And it looks like similar turnover across Europe.
True. That’s a complete guess based only on clubs trying to be sensible and get new gaffers in ahead of pre season. I see the huge flaw in my thinking assuming clubs would try and be logical and well planned. Basket cases the lot of them, especially us this season.
Wouldn't be surprised if we bought someone from Reims or at least a decent French player. There's a few on frees we might go after and I think I mentioned Etikete from psg before. He was at Reims with Still but I think he's signing permanently in Germany
Yeah him, I mentioned him a few month back just as a possibility. We've got a good relationship with PSG and he wasn't getting a look in. Knows Will Still too but that's a no go now. I don't think he was getting much ganetime at Frankfurt when I suggested it. Must've changed if they've now made it permanent
Ekitike is a no go now that he’s signed for Frankfurt. I don’t think he would have ever been a go anyway personally. May need to manage our expectations a bit.
