Solely for what must be the biggest fight of the Day. Or the Geordie version or the end of year concert at Toonboy’s school produced by Hamish For me Usyk on points after a scrappy fight.
The big GK will win this with a late stoppage. Usyk has issues with his mid section and Tyson will exploit this. On a side note he could have done without John Fury's antics this week.
I just think Fury's fluctuating weight over the years and his lack of meaningful fights over the last couple of years or so are going to catch up with him against a boxer of Usyk's class and boxing intelligence. Close one to call. If Usyk had been naturally bigger then I don't think there's even a discussion but Fury's weight advantage could be a big factor provided the latest weight drop doesn't drain him of energy etc.
Fury is in the best shape ever by the look of things. I'm going Fury by demolition.... he's massive in comparison I don't think the Ukrainian will be able to get in.
Yeah, Fury 'should' win this really. He's in good shape, yet still carries a 3st weight advantage and 7in reach advantage. If he can't put that to good use then he doesn't deserve to be undisputed champion. Usyk is a skillful fighter, but if Fury takes it to him and uses his power then it should be too much for Usyk. AJ's problem was he stood off Usyk and showed him way too much respect. Fury needs to get stuck in.
Bellew gave Uysk a few problems, so did Chisora and Dubois was robbed. I like Uysk but I think he's going to be the next soul Fury is taking. John Fury has become increasingly annoying so I will actually be happy if Fury loses
I hope Fury gets knocked back, falls over the ropes and onto his father. Killing the fat old mongrel. Then Fury gets up, dusts himself off and wins the fight.
Same mate. I like Usyk I do. But Fury looks in the best shape I have ever seen him. However that also means he won’t be able to absorb punches as easy. But Fury has about 7 inches of extra reach which will make a huge difference.
I acknowledge Fury is lighter now than he has been for donkeys ages. I would be concerned though as to how he got there. He has had weight issues since day one as far as I'm aware. The putting on and the losing of weight to the extent he has must impact upon him.I like Usyk as a boxer and I think he will outbox Fury because he is a cleverer boxer. He's shown in the past he can overcome the reach issue and whilst Fury may try and lean on Usyl and/or keep him at distance I think Usyk will be too smart for Fury. Also with the weight issues I think Fury will really tire in the later stages and will also have lost some of his punching power. I think it is a close call and for me it's one of those fights that any outcome won't really come as much of a surprise.
One thing is for sure, if Fury can take a hit from Wilder and get up, absolutely nothing Usyk throws is going to work
