Not at all, just saying that if it’s just stuff from people who are already posting what they know on the boards then you should say otherwise it would be a bit misleading to other fans.

It would appear from this mornings posts that a fair few people have heard the same information, maybe it's all from the same sources?

Apologies for passing on what I had been told

Spot on mate. When I lived over there it was mainly Jupiler on taps and in glasses but Maes was generally about and that was a much superior beer Admittedly, this is going back half a lifetime now mind.

Then obviously you have all the weird and wonderful stuff in bottles like hoegaarden, frulli, delirium tremens and duvel etc. That tended to be the drink of choice for older drinkers than me. I was in pubs at 14 so I couldn't stomach it.

As for Stella, I'd honestly say I saw people drink Super Bock over there than I did Stella. I think it's a bit like Foster's over here. Just not really a thing.

Can't speak for all of Belgium of course but Brussels/Leuven/Sint Treuden/Waterloo I knew really well.

No need to apologise, I’m not meaning to attack you here and I’m obviously not making myself clear.

My point is, if someone posted that Heckingbottom is about to be appointed, say on RTG or Twitter, then five different people came on here saying they’d been told it was Heckingbottom (but they’d just been told by the original post/poster) then it gives an illusion that the rumour has more basing in reality than it actually has.

It’s how they manufactured the Jan Koller story thing all those years and it happens constantly whether intentionally or not. I personally think the same thing happened with the Maric thing.

I know absolutely nothing about the new HC situation but I think we will hear something by next weekend as that is the good time to announce as PL season will be finished so we may get better exposure and more back page reporting which could help with recruitment.

I think the difference in the two seasons shows its not the model that is the problem, its certain people not doing their job properly.
Had we had 2 fit CB for the play offs I think we would have been promoted.
I do believe had he not been injured Diallo was due to come back, I think KS was nieve in thinking how well we did in our first season we needed slight tweets, which he got very wrong.
Let's just hope the signs are good that KLD has taken control, gone after his no1 target but also had a great back up option if that didn't come off.
Hopefully they've realised they need to bring in some experience for the first team.
That to me is paramount. It will also help the younger players develop quicker.
I personally like the model, I know some don't but I think what we have to get right is implementing properly.
It's like having a ferrari and just using it for the school run, if you don't use something properly you won't benefit from it.

Ponteland Airport needs to sort more direct flights to Europe. There's so many places I'd love to visit yet you seem to have to fly to Amsterdam to get a connection.
There is now flights to Germany and Norway, but we could do with a few more.
Be nice to just book up for a few days on the spur of the moment. Sorry for derailing the thread aswell

I agree about the CH positions and Evans was a big miss. But it’s nowt to do with what this thread is about, so get back on track.
What is your favourite Belgian beer.

It's always a thing to consider. When everyone says they've heard the same thing, it means that they've most likely heard from the same source (or 2nd hand from that source), not that it's most likely to happen.

Not sure I've even tasted a Belgian beer before mate. Since I hit 50 I've started on the spiced rum instead of beer, until I tried jack Daniels fire with cinnamon in, oh my god bit of coke in doesn't even taste of alcohol. Recipe for disaster, just end up comatosed

The Luton team that has come within 1 game of staying up in the Premier League this season and has more about them than the other two who were promoted, without both our CB's. We won the first leg and infact, should have won it more comfortably. So we weren't outclassed.

It's time people put previous seasons to bed and start to focus on the future. Let's see what the side looks like at the end of October before making wild assumptions

I love spiced rum and also vanilla vodka with coke, you’re right it’s too late before you realise your legs don’t work. I’m gonna try the JD and cinnamon after reading this. I don’t like lager so can’t comment on Belgian beer cos the look of it puts me off.

…due to point deductions for Forest and Everton. They’ve done okay, still going down.

Sick of talking about our failings of the past anyway. Let’s see what the ambitions are of the club now with the new head coach appointment. Like I’ve said previously, if it is Still then he needs backing, properly.

FWIW- I’d be happy with Still.
