Nice to wake up and read through the posts after a brilliant evening at St Mary's. I could feel the atmosphere across the North sea, I'll apologise to the neighbours for the outbursts of profanity when we scored. Just have to complete the treble of wins over Leeds and it's job done and up we go. Not so easy peasey but I'm sure Saints fans will make Wembley a home game.
Just looked and it’s the same price for juniors. Not sure I want to add an extra £40 to the ticket costs. Do you think there’s a chance of getting one with one home game?
The ""on the pitch" was inevitable, just a pressure release after years of failure and the result of the Press and the club winding the fans up to produce some passion. Passion is a good thing but it isn't something that can be flicked on and off at the press of a switch. Problem is, that it will result in a hefty fine minimum, just hope it is nothing worse.
I'm in the same boat (ive done 9 but the same window as you) - worried they won't, bur realistically I think they will. Who knows though, could be a nervous wait.
Looks like your window opens 12.30 Monday. I think you should be fine. Maybe more expensive tickets left though?
I can’t get over the atmosphere yesterday (neither can my throat). It was levels above anything I’ve been involved in before. Incredible and gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. It was loud, it was tribal, it was constant. It was support the team no matter what and make it intimidating for the opposition, and you could see it all over the players. It was special, and it gave ours that bit extra and certainly felt like it caused a few of the Baggies loose passing too. On the game itself West Brom’s game plan worked perfectly first half and we didn’t have anyone (except Flynn Downes) willing to charge forward with the ball. It was all too slow, ponderous and risk averse. Second half a bit more space opened up and more players started breaking the lines with runs with the ball and moving into space to receive it. West Brom players weren’t as tight either which helped. So many top performances last night. Smallbone, KWP, AArma but for me, Flynn Downes was absolutely immense in every way and drove the team to victory from the centre of midfield. MOTM though has to go to the fans. I didn’t think that was possible, still have a headache this morning. COYR
I'm glad MLT's comments at HT didn't come back to bite us in the arse. He proper had a go at West Brom and their tactics and I agreed with him. It was pretty pathetic for a team who finished 5th to time waste as much as they did. The early 2nd half goal was huge. It ****ed their gameplan and lifted the atmosphere in St Mary's up a notch.
Anyone think the smoke bombs inside the ground were a bit much last night? Some ****ing clown decided to light one and then drop it on the floor in front of their seat
Only just seen the clips of the ****s running over to the wba fans. Absolute ****ing morons and very embarrassing. Pitch invasion for a semi pretty tin pot anyway tbh but if people want to go on, have their moment and snap a few pics then fair enough imo. But for people's first thought to be to go and goad the away fans is beyond pathetic. Hopefully more than a few will be getting a knock on the door in the coming days.
Yep, should be banned from St Mary's for life. Iam sure I saw Rishi Sunak charging down. You will all back me up won't you?
