Hey guys, coming up to the busy x mas period and was wondering how people feel about the season so far. I myself am quite happy, the team seems to be in good spirits and we are starting show what we can do (beating league 1 Bournemouth). Ideally I would like to be top 3 by now but still plenty of games to play. I feel we have a good group of players with a an addition or two in January I feel we can really push on for a good finish. Regarding the Rooney situation I feel it needs to be cleared up as soon as possible. If Rooney isn't prepared to accept what we're offering him there is no point paying his wages and leaving him out of every game till the summer, we should off load him January and use what little funds we'd get towards signing Jo Kuffour on a permanent basis. What are your views? Would be interested to hear if we're all singing off the same hymn sheet or not.
i think this is gonna be the key to our season to be honest, and ive been banging on about it to anyone who will listen for about a month or longer now. as soon as we got him fit it was obvious just what a threat he could be and he's a good partner for kedwell. to an extent he is almost as skillful as rooney but a much more rounded player (mainly due to his experience im sure). although birchall will be back soon it could take a while for him to get match fit and firing again and we all know what happened with the simon king injury and therefore keeping kuffour would give us the quality strike force we are going to need to go up no matter what. in regards to the rest of the season so far, good start, faded, getting better again. too many players off colour and niggling and long term injuries not helping matters. however with players coming back from injury and starting to find some form things look bright for the crucial xmas run. hopefully we can come out of the other side of it with a strong grip on a playoff spot, another fa cup round and move closer to the autos, thats all i'll be asking santa for!!
I think it would be good if Rooney woke up and thought what a cock he was and just signed the contract but I doubt so, He will go to Swindon.
