Gone for Charles because he was doing really well one year until he made a silly mistake. I don`t think he`ll do the same mistake again, and if he can be on pole he stands a real chance as overtaking at Imola is quite hard.
Tsunoda looking to put another nail in Danny's coffin, apparently he lives 20 miles from Imola, I bet he's been around it a ridiculous amount of times and knows every inch of the track.
I think Visa-Master-Cash Card or what ever they are called have their factory 9 miles from Imola.I seem to remember Franz Tost making him relocate close to the factory to have a bit more control over him - seems to have worked. It's a pity Danny seems to have lost something after leaving Red Bull - he used to be great to watch - last of the late breakers but now he just doesn't seem to connect with the cars.
Since we went to these big ground effect things he seems to have lost a little of the feel. I actually think he’s driving okay at the moment and that actually Tsunoda is just driving superbly, especially over one lap pace which he’s always had but he’s now refining.
Red Bull looking much stronger in FP3, excellent laps on the mediums. They’ve obviously done their work overnight in the setup and they’re very much back in the hunt. McLaren have got pace up their sleeve still to show but they’re still dialling in the upgrades as we can see with the flow vis, which is understandable as they look to keep verifying the data. Ferrari - especially Le Clerc- look very handy for quali.
He didn't do that well at Renault either and that was before the ground effect rules came in. Although Renault just don't seem to have their heart in F1 so could just be he had a naff car. When he is feeling the car he's a great driver.
Go on Yuki! He’s been rapid all weekend (though you wouldn’t want him starting alongside you at the start…)
I doubt if his age has anything to do with it . He doesn’t seem to despondent . saying there were a few extra stops , and then a known issue with his car .
Back to reality i suppose. Hopefully McLaren is still close enough in race pace to keep things interesting. Ferrari hype ending the way Ferrari hype usually does.
