I think the playoffs have shown that actually if Acun did gamble in the January transfer window to get promoted, he was misguided. In fact, I suspect we are a few seasons short

Well I don't know the bloke so I am only going by what he's said in public, but I would imagine he thinks if only we had managed to turn a couple of those home draws into wins we would have been 4 points better off and in the playoffs. If we'd played to our potential we would have had a fair chance of beating any of the 4 teams in the playoffs, based on the first leg performances. An opportunity missed.
Financially yes but we gave Southampton, Leicester and Leeds a run for their money. It's just that WBA and Norwich employ managers who got them into the play offs through their very 'pragmatic' approach. I'm glad they both lost because they play an awful style which is crap to watch. Cannot imagine supporting either of them and having to watch week in and week out. They would get hammered every week playing like that in the premier league.

And the oft quoted 3 wins out of last 13 games. Wow, that is absolutely dreadful!! Not hard to see why Acun started asking questions and chose to pull the trigger!! .
