I am willing to give the bloke two transfer windows and a full season before I even begin to judge him. Unless he is as crap as Ten Hag of course!
Read back all the posts since mito's post about Slot confirming his own appointment. It should all make sense. Also, lying isn't the only option when asked a question. What was the question they asked him btw?
Cos it's obvious. Thats an own goal. Best thing to say is I won't speak about a job someone has one game left in thanks. This guy has to understand that there will be a portion of the fanbase seriously underwhelmed here and he needs to build his support over the next season. He doesn't need own goals before he's even had his press call holding up a scarf.
What he doesn't need is fans turning against him without giving him a chance. Can't see why it's a big deal myself.
But you can already see that between us on here, we're split 50/50. Extrapolate that to get a picture of what the wider fanbase thinks.
I agree. I always factor in the 'lost in translation' aspect with people who have English as a second language but he will need to learn quickly how to handle the press if he's to keep the fans on side.
Perhaps - I haven't looked elsewhere. I'm just saying what I think. The appointment has been known about for weeks, so I don't see the point in pretending it's not happening.
I'm willing to let any media misdemeanors slide. Directness is practically a part of the Dutch nationality, and he's never managed a club as massive as Liverpool.
It is possible to be pleased that we are winning games yet still not buy into the manager's character. I'm not writing him off before he starts. I will be backing him. I just don't like how he's handling himself and spilling his guts before he's even been officially named.
You know how we always talk about not believing it until we see the lean. I'm applying the same principle here. We wait for the club's official unveiling. It's not up to the new signing to preempt the announcement. Is that pretending it's not happening? I don't know.
Well, if it all falls through then he won't be our manager and so we can forget about the whole thing. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I really don't understand the problem.
But I don’t understand why? Guys been hired to win football matches. Not sure why him confirming something that we all have known for weeks is something to beat him with a stick over
We're all different and so we have different opinions, expectations, standards etc. It isn't a problem. It's a lack of respect imo. I accept others don't see it the same way.
To be fair I haven’t seen any of it as don’t really go looking for Dutch press conferences. So can’t really even comment on the way it’s been announced
