I don't know any myself...but will be interested in any views.

I would say over 95% of Sunderland fans want to change the manager
Our league status is now perilous
He stats are now as bad as Wilkinson and McEnemy
Although he say different..the players don't seem to be playing for him
    He is tactically inept.
Plays players out of position week in week out
Buys players...doesn't play them (Gardiner for example)
    Substitutions are comical at best.

So.....What reasons would short..who has millions tied up in the club...keep this disaster of a manager one day longer.

He has made money for Short and that is the only reason he will stay.

If not wanting to pay his compo is a factor then id start to question Mr short for the first time. Relegation is gonna cost a hell of a lot more

money money money ..wont want to pay him off wont want to spend what a decent manager would demand for taking the job.....bruce will use the line that the team has not bedded in yet and will improve given time....which i think that short will give him till after the crimbo fixtures and before transfer window...then see where we are...the problem i see is that the fans want top 8 and short willl be reasonably happy or should i say not unhappy with 10th to 15th..its all about the bottom line and the balance between what you have to spend and what you get in for a middling prem club anything but relegation is ok with the money boys..........

you cannot argue with stats...so he probably has to go...but to call him clueless is just not accurate you dont keep a job for over ten years if you are clueless..look at the goal difference 0f 0 thats top ten defending in my opinion the midfield has no pace so he is at fault for that in my opinion..i think he was relying on zoggy to come but it fell through....and as for gardner do you watch the training and reserves ..because every minute gardner has been on the pitch he has looked very slow and of the pace....and as for the strike force bent should not have been sold he should have been told to honour his contract and the selling/loaning of gyan on the last day of the transfer window beggers belief..i think that these two decisions were out of bruces hands and quinny and short must take the blame for this....so unless we have a better replacement waiting for short to pull the trigger i think we should give bruce to crimbo so sort it out..i know if he does sort it out that all the best we can hope for is mid table but as i said before i feel that short will be happy with this and also that bruce is more than capable of providing us with year on year mid table mediocrety

He hasn't kept a job for ten years though has he? I think this stint with us is his longest run in management.

if you are clueles you dont get offered jobs do you (i can think of only one manager who has had more than three jobs within the game and has been absoluteky useless but he got jobs because of his playing reputation)........I know you do not like it but within the professional game bruce has a good reputation that is among his peers and who would you take more notice of your peers or fans whose decision may guided by what he cannot change ............ his place of birth

After his stint with us Chimera...lets see where his career goes. He has had everything he needed here to do something special...he has screwed up big time. He will be lucky to take over at somewhere like Northampton Town (who are looking for a new manager btw)

This wouldn't be relevant had he been doing a decent job.

This statement can easily be verified if he goes......i would predict a mid table or lower prem job for him or a upper half chhanpionship team....i repeat he has a good reputation within the game despite your musings..wait and see flando

Bruce has been given everything possible to succeed here. He has failed. He wont get a job looking after Bath City reserves. He isn't original in his tactics, savvy in his buyings, useless in his holding on to good players. On top of all this, he cant hear the screams of the fans. Last 2 matches, throw on strikers for the last 10 minutes!

we must stay up. Its only November and I'm worried sick! It wasn't this bad in the 19 point season!

Chimera, I'm not saying it should. There is no reason why discrimination of this sort can be justified, yet it happens in all walks of life. Nevertheless, it isn't that important in footballing circles when compared to fans opinions, like you alluded to. And it certainly isn't the fans who hold the power here, so I can't help but feel you are making an issue here that is of no consequence.

i said when bruce was signed it was based on the fact that he could fine a bargain and with the amount of big money sales we have made i still think that was the reason ...buy small sell big, get rid of the expensive tripe keane signed and get us mid table in the process. he has done sh**e on all fronts and resorted to selling the talent that was here and making us a worse team.
