Bit like people saying "I can't believe we're still talking about LR" and then continue with why their opinion of him and/or his dismissal is right.

Not quite sure he wants to go to League One, plus they have a manager.

He could probably travel to the Sunlan post from Derbyshire much easier than to Norwich - although I can see Norwich playing the Rosie style

Good game? He only came on at 79 mins!!! The point was poster saying his goal against Ipswich was because his awareness and technique had improved because of rosenior.....yet it was absolutely fine in his 10 mins (TEN) against Rotherham.
Btw he only came on at 74 mins v Ipswich!! "his game was much better" !!! Please just stop it.

I don’t understand your position on ‘which player do you drop’

Of the 4 that played a lot pre Delaps return - Carvalho was scoring, Tufan was in decent form, Jaden is our best wing player and Omur was playing brilliantly.

Who do you drop when Ohio, Sharp and Connolly weren’t in great form? Ohio eventually became a great option from the bench - because he was scoring. I’d much rather it be that way around than the Stoke game when he was poor from the start?

The three performances that even Acun points to as being what he wants, Southampton away, Leicester and Ipswich at home - we didn’t start with a striker. They came off the bench.

So I think the question remains, who are we dropping to start a striker before Delap comes back?

If you were to ask Acun, I suspect he'd say one of the two deep lying midfielders.

Barnsley are on the lookout for a new manager, though if Rosie has turned down the Plymouth job, he might be holding out for higher unless it's about distance.

Reading might also be on the lookout soon, I don't think they can afford to stay in League One for another season after this next one.

    Tricky one
As i think a young manager like rosie needs to be managing as much as possible
A long break wont do any good

I imagine he will hope for norwich and sunderland

It's not no evidence. The evidence is Acun admitting that he has strong opinions on player selection which he tried to convince the manager of, and then ultimately sacked him in part because of those disagreements. That's pretty significant evidence I'd say.

And I didn't say he definitely made LR start Ohio in that game. I said it makes me wonder.

And this is the thing when an owner starts interfering. Why wouldn't people start to wonder about the extent of it?

I agree, I think that's what he'll hold out for but I reckon given Sunderland's money they'd be hopeful of attracting a bigger name, Norwich seems more likely. Gabriel Sara and Borja Sainz in a Rosenior style side will shred.

Acun did say he hasn't and wouldn't tell the manager who to play, but they do have discussions and when the manager goes against the grain, and it doesn't work. they ultimately have to fall on their sword. Which I think's fair.

I suspect we'll only ever hear Acun's side, as the other party will always be under NDA (and/or are too professional to discuss such things in public). So I don't think we'll ever know what really went on.

I think Rosenior should go to a bottom-half Champ or a League One team with aspirations for promotion. I think Plymouth was more due to distance. Peterborough if they sack Ferguson would be a really good job and environment for him. Barnsley would be good too I think.

I think it's pretty likely that LR just doesn't want to rush into another job. He'll surely still be getting paid by City, he might still be feeling pretty raw from it, and jumping into another job, from LR's point of view, would probably mean very quickly doing a lot of prep work in terms of pre-season and all the rest of it. When he joined us he spent weeks talking to Acun about every aspect of the club and how he'd want things to work. He's not a quick fix guy by any means. I wouldn't be surprised if he simply doesn't want to just go in somewhere at short notice. I don't think it's necessarily as simple as just going "Oh Sunderland are about his level, he'll go there".

    Yeah, that wouldn't be ideal.

Norwich are gonna be up there next season, I just remembered as well they've got Idah to come back from Celtic, though I can't imagine Josh Sargent will be hanging around.

we looked best when we had Tufan/Fabio/Omur with the keys to the city, bringing Delap back seemed to derail us a little bit from that decent turn in form.

I mean he played for Bristol City so it's not like he hasn't been down that way before (I know it's another 2 hours on to Plymouth, but I meant he isn't against going down south), but yeah Barnsley would be a great fit for him, they've got a good squad as well. Think their ownership is now more stable too.

It's easy to say "I'm not telling him who to pick" but if they're having these disagreements then clearly there is some pressure there. And if the manager picking his own team rather than the owner's preferred one is seen as "going against the grain" then that really isn't a good situation in my opinion.
