In 1972 it probably wasn't far from the truth, it is Ireland after all. The police fell for it and so did Mick, so why not you too?

Cos a pint could be 3% or 8% so only a mug would fall for it

    Sorry Mick

In 1972 you wouldn't have had such a large range of alcohol %, they would have been pretty much all the same.

Ridiculous, he dragged them to the Play Offs, we're they not in the relegation spots at one time?

I thought it was a bit harsh myself, I shall await Mathew's opinion before commenting further.

Only ended up drinking 6 cans of San Maguel. Just wasn't feeling it. Meeting my Ma for lunch at half 12.

How are you getting it anyway, trouble on the home front have you back in Scotland? (Tell me not to be a nosey bustard if you want).

No more trouble than usual. The mother in law is in Majorca just now, so I am in Glasgow, so win win. In other news, I only found out about 6 months ago that Ulster fry isn't just a fry up, but is also the name of a kind of meat, similar to square sausage maybe? So do you have Ulster fry in your Ulster fry then?

An Ulster Fry, I always thought was a fry up, but seemingly it is also the name of a meat?

Ulster Fry. Imagine a lorne sausage, but with rounder corners. Composition something along the lines of what you'd find in a can of bacon grill. Came in slices from the butcher, wrapped in thin plastic that you peeled off, then into the frying pan

It is meat though, how can it be a vegetable roll? I think it might be a Scouser thing and they just call the meat Ulster Fry?

There are bits of vegetable run through it to bulk it up.

Never heard of the Scouser thing although I'd imagine I would have.
