I know a lot of very successful people, none of them would dream of taking a pop at any of their employees in public and all of they (to differing degrees) are conscious of how they're perceived and their public reputation.
Imo, it's an attribute that might help at times, and hinder at other times, but I don't think it's "the secret to a successful life", or even near say the top 3!! Another thread perhaps?
Me too, but I think when you get to the levels of hundreds of millions in the bank they care less. Man Utd fans were lapping it up when Jim Ratcliffe critisised the work from home culture at the club and ordered them all back into the office. Mike Ashley is known for making similar statements. I'm not saying it is correct by the way, I just feel that the higher up the chain you go the person is more likely to have less regard for what people think of their feelings and will carry a 'my way or the highway' stance.
What strange mental gymnastics. So now he's being praised for being stubborn? And as someone else said Acun has made it pretty clear he cares what people think.
Mike Ashley is a complete cock, he's made a point of deliberately pissing off everyone he can, but he's the exception rather than the rule.
What we have to remember here, is that most of these people are paid amounts of money we can only dream of, even at this level... But its also probably fair to say he hasn't got where he is today by being nice to people..
I have a severe tree nut allergy, with the Brazil nut being the most dangerous, so it's definitely a nut for me.
