Exactly. I only saw MOTD, not the whole game. From what I saw, it looked a very even game. However, the stats(sorry guys, I'm not a Gooner in disguise, honest) were: Poss: WBA 41% TH: 59% shots: WBA:9 TH:23...On target: WBA 5: TH:14 Corners: WBA:1 TH:10. Obviously, they give a completely different picture. Sounds like a game we deserved to win.

HI MT, I don't think we should come down out of the Cirrus one bit, the football we are playing is the very stuff of dreams, we are simply superb ATM. As I keep saying, enjoy it to the full you may never see its like again, nor I.

If Man City didn't have the spending power of a small country we could actually win this title.

As for Bolton as long as win with style as we are doing week in week out, that will be great. But, to talk of 'we ought to thrash them' is indeed talk from the land of Cirrus. This is the Prem, the toughest and almost certainly best lge IN THE WORLD. We're not playing mug teams, we are playing teams of professional players, usually with a fair few internationals in the mix.

Exactly NSS, glad you posted the stats and all credit to my memory that I got them spot on despite watching MOTD in a drunken haze of joy and elation. We were the better team simple as, and against a decent team playing their hearts out in front of a passionate crowd pressurising the ref, it was simply put, yet another tremendous performance from the 'Super Spurs'.

It's on MOTD again in a minute, I'll be watching it sober and smiling with a cup of tea this time :)

So far, I've watched the game in full, most of it on Football First, highlights on MOTD, and just about to watch it again, it's brilliant every time :)

Ok GHoddle. The first half according to Harry was not the stuff of dreams. Anyway, stats stats stats. You can have 99% of the match but unless you get that ball in that net then it's all a waste of time. Now I remember a 4-0 thrashing of Bolton 2 years ago and that's what I'm saying it will be next week. We are creating a lot of chances and soon they will go in. I AM upbeat but I don't think yet that we've hit top gear. Anyway 4-0 or more. What do you say?

Yep, stats, stats, stats TMT :) - We got the ball in the net 1 2 3 times - what more do you want away from home?

During this incredible run we have scored AT LEAST TWO goals every game, that's getting the ball in the net isn't it?

What do I think about Bolton next week, I think we'll win with style as we have been doing for months now. I don't do scorelines, it's hard enough getting results right. But if you push me I'll say 2-0.

To be honest though, if it's 1-0, 4-3 or 7-2 I'll be delighted with any of those results, for me the more goals the merrier, as long as we get most of them :)

I have to say, from what I saw, our defence had an off day. We looked vulnerable to crosses, especially. Their strikers found space between King & Kaboul one more than one occasion, and apart from their goal, would have scored more with better finishing. It's something I'm sure they'll work on before next week.

NSS you really should sign up for Canal+ i've watched our last 7 games live i think and you get atleast three 3pm kick offs live the sunday games and the monday one when there is one. Also just about all the other European leagues as well, oh and S.American ones. Also you can get the commentary in english or spanish.
Anyway a good deal all round if you like your sport.
As for todays game we weren't good in the 1st half and they started brightly for about 5mins of the second, then we really took over as Sandro and Parker got more used to playing together.Parker pushed forward really well today creating a number of good chances, with Sandro sitting further back.Bale and Lennon changed wings and this seemed to work very nicely. As has been said the ref got all the big calls right.Ade still missing a few easy chances(could have had 4 or 5)but he is scoring when really needed and his work rate is 1st class(if it had been Pav we would have been lucky to get 1).Well that's 9/10 wins with the chance for 2nd(Pool and ManC draw and we can get within 4pts of the lead) so how can we all be anything but delighted.COYS.

Defence not great today and Walker was really off his game in the 1st half,West Brom were surprising quick and did cause King and Kaboul some problems. As you say their finishing not great and really that's the difference Spurs create so many chances 2 or 3 always seem to go in.The sign of a good team?

Yeah, I might do that Pat. At the moment, I have Sky with ESPN. I'm a big Rugby fan, as well. The only problem is, if I try to introduce more sports channels I think the missus might try and kill me <laugh>

NSIS same here , my wife asked if there was another way of watchin the football without paying our subscriber foxtel. I told her yes but you still have to pay right! She didn't get it. Needless to say I still have my foxtel and ready and waiting for the Bolton match.

MOTD has nosedived since the move to Salford - the match isn't so much edited as the uninteresting parts are left out, whilst they clearly insert snippets of commentary from other parts of the game to where they feel they need a more dramatic sounding call.

And their brown nosing of Alex Ferguson's paranoid theories has got a lot more obvious...

I played for Rosslyn Park for a couple of years, Bromley RFC, and a few others. Long time ago now, though!

Strange i stopped playing after watching my brother playing for Exmouth and he was caught with a really high tackle breaking his collar bone and and a rib.But the other bloke who had been drinking before the game was knocked out cold.I ran onto the pitch to help my brother who was also slightly concussed and saw that the other bloke wasn't moving(he was dead and i had to help carry him off the pitch).I just didn't get over it for awhile and was to old to start at any kind of decent level again.
Also watched my rugby teacher at school break his back on a trampoline he recovered to teach again though.
I agree with you about being involved in lower level rugby than amateur football.
    Inside centre my favourite position.
