I've seen nothing in the effort that this group have been putting it to lead me to believe that they weren't giving LR, the club and fans less than 100% every time they took to the pitch - I think you can find perhaps fault with the style of play but, to me, there was no doubting application, ever.

I agree there wasn't a consecutive run that suggested he'd lost the dressing room. But there were a few individual matches which stood out as not meeting the standard of proceeding or subsequent performances.

 

I'm gonna guess Rosie not having Ohio in match squads, nor Pandur on the field when both were brought in to support a promotion push.

Walter still odds on, but from 9/2 on, to 11/4 on.

PH is a good coach but not what Acun is seemingly looking for in style of play.

 

and links logically with Acun's comments about 'not wanting to try to change Rosenior's footballing philosophy'. That would be pretty toxic if there was a group of players and an owner who came to the conclusion that the 'footballing philosophy' wasn't right for the club and that it needed to change, but the coach simply didn't want to change.
(to recap, Acun's and Rosenior's 'philosophies' seemed aligned from their words in the early months, but the type of football Rosenior promised just never really materialised in practice, other than in short glimpses).

Listening to 1904 and it’s interesting to get Prutton’s opinion (as a player) on players going to Tan. He brushes it off as normal because any player not in the starting 11 is likely to moan, and it would be expected. I’m definitely in the camp that all of these rumours have been blown out of proportion.

 

I’m not sure, I was only three when we left but I’m on a FB group where it gets lots of mentions.

Having been at both games it is my view that the stoke and plymouth results rests with the players in the main. Just not up for it

 

Perhaps, it's usual to get 1 or 2 of those a season, but they do stand out as out of character.

 

Seems odd for anyone to lump money on someone like Heckingbottom when we've heard that Walter is almost done.. I wonder if Acun & Tan have doubts over Walter and have started to explore other options...

 

Would agree depending on what you see as an experienced football head. Some of the best in the world have no playing experience if not most of them

 

He's managed Leeds, Hibs and Sheff Utd, he'll be tainted, no thanks.

 

We can wax lyrical about how Hamburg experienced the same issues as we did under Rosenior but our problem was we made it was too easy for teams to sit deep because they knew we’d not have a way of breaking them down unless they pressed us.

Walter’s Hamburg had the 1st and 2nd most clear cut chances created over the full seasons he was in charge. For comparison we were 12th this season. They were also 1st and 2nd for clear cut chances missed, which again we were 12th. Of course this doesn’t account for moments where we didn’t get shots off but that applies to everyone

 

I coach Heckingbottom’s daughter I will get to the bottom of that one and (hopefully) rubbish it.

 

Although things can change quickly (Pedro Martins for example), I'd find this very surprising when they've been quite open about hopefully bringing Walter in soon. Wasn't it Tan who was quoted the other day about it pretty much being Walter who's going to take the reigns? I might have misremembered the specifics to be honest.
