That would have to be Photoshop not AI... AI is so scared of being sued it blocks real people...

I put "Arne Slot with orange skin and a bad orange wig" into a free AI app that doesn't censor... And it gave me this...

    Arne_Slot_with_orange_skin_and_a_bad_orange_wig_2682956703.png

Got what I paid for there.

He probably wasn't famous enough when the images were harvested. Either that, or Slot has an alter ego as a drag queen too.

I haven't read most of this thread so I don't know if it's been discussed - did Klopp make a mistake in the timing of his announcement? I would say yes because of how things panned out but we will never know really because we can't go back and tell him not to announce it and see if the season will turn out differently.

Yeah, I'm guessing he didn't want it to get out in the rumour mill... he wanted to be the one to leak it.

It would be nice if it wasn't until season end that it was announced though. But yeah, it would have been iffy if we were pursuing Alonso, Amorim and Slot while Klopp was still manager without knowing it was Klopp's decision.

    There would be blood.

Definitely. Maybe if he'd done it in April it would have pushed us over the line but it was done too early. Meant negative things could creep into the dressing room knowing JK won't be there next season.

See the Fergie stories; when he announced his retirement mid-season (before changing his mind) they had lots of problems. He learnt a lesson and when he actually retired he didn't announce it until after the season had concluded.

I don't believe players intentionally dropped off or acted differently, but it would have happened. Especially with those that aren't happy (for example, those they would like more minutes)

I had thought that maybe a journalist had got hold of the news and Klopp acted to preempt the release. Then I checked out his wikipedia page to see what the circumstances of his leaving the other two clubs were and read that an interviewer put it to him at Dortmund that with only a few games left, the team had played much better since his leaving announcement. Klopp responded with If I'd known, I would have announced it at the beginning of the season ". Maybe he had that in mind when he decided to give us the news so early.

I think if klopp had his way he wouldn’t have announced it. It would have meant Sundays game wouldn’t be all about him which is what he would have wanted (number of times he tells fans to stop singing for him and sing for the team). I don’t think it’s made a difference to the team. Teams motivation will 100% have been on winning the league and cups and going out on a high.

As it is I think it’s good that everyone knows it’s his last game so the fans can truely show their appreciation even if klopp doesn’t want it to be like that.

Not sure you can make that claim without knowing for sure that he was forced or encouraged to do so and there's been nothing to suggest either of those happened.

Why would he announce it then? Was a random point in mid season - had been no rumours about it. No talk about him leaving for other clubs etc.

Had already been kept quiet since November so if that’s the case why not keep going?

assumption is that they got ahead of it before the rumours and leaks started

Unless and until it's revealed at some point after he leaves that the news was in danger of being leaked, it's all just guesswork.

When he left Dortmund he announced it in April with about 10 games to go, I think..His reasoning was so that the club had time to get a replacement.

It'll come out after why it was announced then.

I think the widely assumed thought it was going to leak is probably close to the mark.

I do feel it was forced

I said in my original comment that I thought he had got ahead of somebody else breaking the news but after reading that he told Dortmund early, it made me have a rethink.

Klopp said at the time he told them months before so I really doubt he picked that time on his own bat to announce.

Klopp has talked in the past about sitting down with players and gauging their commitment to the upcoming campaign. I am quite sure he did the same but at some point felt it change for him and I would never thi k he would lie about this stuff.

He described how it was so I'm fully sure fsg knew for months.

I've said from day one I think he announced it because a leak was imminent, and the Dortmund info doesn't change my mind on that.
In answer to your original question - yes, I do think it was badly timed. Again, I said this right from the start. The fact that we played well for a while afterwards made me question that, but ultimately I've come back round to my original impression.

I just think we should go back to klopps direct video message to the fans on it and listen again.

It doesn't look very prepared to me.

He tells it straight but who knows what wasn't said.

I think it'll come out eventually..someone will talk like linders who seems very eager for publicity. (See his comments on managing the side for the cl final win)

There is another way of looking at it, would Klopp think it was fair on the fans to tell them at the last minute? Because we've known he's leaving for a long time now, I can't imagine how much more upsetting it would have been to find out this weekend. Klopp said when he came - the important thing isn't what people think when you arrive but what they think of you when you leave. With that in mind, it could well have left a lot of people feeling let down that he walked away without notice. A big part of the great relationship he has with us and us him, is getting the opportunity to say goodbye and give thanks in an appropriate and prepared way. Walking away quietly would have been the wrong thing to do.
