Yeah, I just didn’t reply to the actual message sorry, someone had asked to see my dogs, but I’m hopeless with tech as it is and having to do everything on my phone atm as I have no internet for my computer. I guess I could have asked them for their email address lol
Before the reunification of Germany, I used to drive to Rostock in East Germany. I would hire a car in Hamburg and drive to Lubeck which was at the border between East and West.
My paternal grandfather was also stationed there, my dad lived out there for a few years when he was younger and very nearly got a football scholarship out there if it wasn't for his parents thinking football was a dead-end job at the time! When they came back they spent some time in Potters Bar, for some reason, where he'd frequently disappear in the dead of night across to Ireland, someone would come pick him up from his house and my grandmother would have no idea where he was when she woke up. it was all hush hush... Got his mess suit framed and hung up in my office.
I didnt say there is anything wrong with playing from the back. What is wrong is passing the ball around in our own penalty area which causes unneccessary risk
I'm perfectly chill. All I said was 'is this the right thread'. He was the one that got quite defensive.
Walter’s team will do mostly the same, as passing it around at the back and using the defenders to start play and create space is how his system seems to work from what I’ve seen. The keeper also comes out to essentially become a defender as that’s what creates the man advantage Walter wants further up the field. I imagine the system is going to be even riskier than what Rosie implemented.
If you think that’s going to change under Walter have I got news for you. He’s even more risk taking from the back
Also if, as were led to believe, the ball is moved more rapidly that in itself is likely to create a greater risk of error, which has no doubt been a factor in his teams conceding a lot of goals.
Having watched some of the games since the announcement of him being a front runner. Most notably this highlight springs to mind. Granted this is a heavy outlier but if this had happened under Rosenior I think you’d have blown a gasket
