Headline - Slot given Nunez ultimatum… Thought that’s bold of fsg to give a manager that’s not even confirmed yet an ultimatum about a current player. Click article and it’s not an fsg ultimatum to my surprise but no… apparently jermain Defoe is the all mighty one giving this ultimatum. And to be fair to him, the article doesn’t actually give any choices of what options the manager must have? Only that be left behind behind city and arsenal if Nunez continues to miss chances… brilliant. Especislly from someone who beat goal scoring season was 18 prem goals followed by a couple of 15 a seasons. God knows how anyone can make a story out of that.
I'm looking forward to see which players from the relegated teams deciding that they are too good to play in the Championship, declaring they want to leave, refusing to play only to have to backtrack when nobody wants to buy them and having to spend next season playing Championship football.
Adebayo at Luton has looked a player. Big target man to lead the line, can see him doing a job at another prem club. Koleosho at Burnley looked lively but still young so season in champ is prob ideal for him anyway.
wouldn't be surprised if a lower PL team bid for Morris from Luton and Brereton-Diaz at Sheff Utd but he only joined them in Jan iirc
Well Burnley have got nothing anyone would want. Strangest Prem team in a while. Absolutely walked the Championship yet none of them have done anything in the PL, I'd struggle to even name most of the Burnley team. So none of them have proved they are anything more than Champ players. Sheff Utd have about 3 good players, Archer, Harmer and Diaz (who isn't even theirs) the rest are ****. How they even got promoted is a bit of a mystery. I suppose that's why people are picking Luton players, cause some of them have actually shown a bit of spirit and some qualities. Brought this up cause I was watching the Play off games earlier and Gnonto and Summerville, both of whom were itching for moves in the summer after Leeds got relegated, were playing and thought it was funny after whinging about not playing top tier.
They weren't even expecting to get promoted, but then somehow had a great season and managed it. And then sold their two best players without reinvesting because the owner wants rid of the club. If you look at it as a free hit they've had one season of pain but which has given them major financial input for a few years. On the other hand, as you say, Luton put up far more of a fight.
One or two suggesting we are in for Gordon from Newcastle .....1) not good enough 2) £100m......Baah hahahaa Didn't know he was with us as a kid
well the fwitter screenshot i saw of that was taking the info from the express which is far less reliable source of accurate info than Viz imo.
I'd rather have Fati. Looks like Barca want to sell, get him on the cheap. Bit of a wasted year at Brighton imo, coming back from injury and they didn't really know how to use him, but 21 still loads of time to develop into the player he showed he could be.
It's all about attitude. I wouldn't touch a barca player with a barge pole. They are all massively over paid. Gordon is hilarious. Might as well go get grealish if you want a poor man's Tom Daley.
