Tav has many faults but Rangers poor recent record against Celtic can’t all fall on him, put any Rangers hall of famer or ex captain in the Rangers teams that Tav has been part of and the stats would be the exact same for them. Rangers have been a shambles on and off the park for the majority of Tavs time here, a guy wearing an armband for 90 minutes can only do so much

 

He has been at fault for many goals against Celtic and doesn't seem to get the team going. Do you not agree that it is time to get rid of Tavernier and Goldson?

If players can’t get themselves going and get up for all these big games then we have much bigger problems than Tav. These are guys getting paid an absolute fortune by Scottish football standards, do they all need led by the hand by the captain? Does he need to walk them to the toilet if they need a wee jobby as well?

It could well be time for a change and to get rid of Tav and Goldson, but lets not pretend that sorts our problems, the problems go a lot deeper than those 2.

 

Indeed our problems do, but a captain should lead by example and Tav never seems to do that against Celtic. Agreed we need to get rid of more than just those 2.

I think people just have unrealistic expectations of what a captain does in this day and age. People think back to Butcher, Ferguson etc and will say they probably had players pressed against the wall by the throat if they were having a bad game but the game has changed, modern day players don't react to managers and senior players screaming and shouting at them.

Look at Celtic, every single one of their players is bang up for it when they play us, do you think that all comes from Callum McGregor? He is nowhere near being a great Celtic captain, but he has players around him that know how to get up for these games. Players need to take responsibility for themselves

 

Yous didn't have any yellows in the last OF at ibrox either I don't think, its something i notice as you need to be getting stuck in

Ps. Tav and Goldson have 2 years left in their contracts they're going nowhere
