fkn Sky are useless .. give MoM to McLean who was totally outplayed by Kamara .. what fkn game were they watching?
Would be tempted to start a front 3 of Anthony, Joseph and James next game. Both Anthony and James looked good at the end and if Bamford is injured we need an out and out striker up front and Piroe isn’t that.
I'd genuinely go with Summerville, Piroe and Gnonto. I'd have Rutter and Dan James on the bench. Bring Rutter on after 70 minutes when the spaces start to appear.
Not too fussed about the tactics, as thought we looked a bit more secure at the back. For me, we need a centre forward who retains possession and Rutter was a complete liability today. He needs benching on Thursday, that might sharpen him up if we need him as a 2nd half sub. James created enough panic that he might be worth starting, and Id start Joseph for Rutter. Think the bruiser Barnes will likely replace Sargent - so we’ll need to toughen up Thursday. Not disappointed with the result, but don’t believe it’s as easy 2nd leg as all the experts are suggesting. MOT
Been many speculations over Rutter, Gnonto, James, Summerville etc the one that needs to be fckd off is Meslier, he is a shambles, his distribution is worst ever seen, he never catches in his 6yd box overall he is piss poor he could cost us dearly.
We did, think Sky might have shown it today They're unbeaten at home since 5th November, so they are in calendar year.
Playoffs should be just 1 leg, team that finishes higher gets the home advantage. But of course the greedy bastard tv companies won’t want that.
Norwich are 4th in the home league table. They only conceded 22 goals at home all season and only lost 4 times. They won 15 of their home fixtures. We won 16 at Elland Road. Given the form we have been in, getting out of there after a solid performance with a 0-0 draw is good from us. Might have been boring but it's the most professional we've looked in weeks.
The flip side is that Norwich only won 6 out of 23 away games this season. That's 19th in the away table.
I can't see that Norwich team coming to Elland Road and winning. I would have liked WBA to have beaten Southampton though, but the final is a flip of the coin.
