Don't think anything changes overnight but I think it’s wrong to say a manger and the way he plays can’t have a positive impact on the home atmosphere. May never the best, but doesn’t mean we can’t be better than we currently are
Perhaps, but as Howden said it seems like there's issues no matter what the score or style. Sure over a prolonged period of time that will gradually change, but Acun seems to be looking for a change overnight.
Agree, although I still think pre-ehab debacle, and promotion campaigns under Bruce and even when in the Prem, our atmosphere was better than now. Don’t think we’ll even be the best but I’m hoping, given time, we can atleast get back to those levels
Glad you enjoyed it. It was a great story. Unfortunately I was way too pissed to remember anything I was told
Anyone see that goal the first goal MK Dons gave away when being 3-0 in the leg, straight out of the Rosey playbook, 6 passes never really got out of the box and their attacker robbed the defender and put it away
Personally, having sat all over the ground this year, I think they can all make some noise.....But.... It's dictated by how they are playing. They have to be going for it to get the west stand going.
Always felt Adam Pearson's tenure created the best atmosphere. Liked 'Tiger, Tiger burning bright' and he had a consistent play list (in pre match music which seemed to build up as got closer to kick off). I'll get my tin hat but not a fan of the pre match music now - it's too loud! Seriously think it detracts from atmosphere rather than builds it up. But I appreciate this might not be a commonly held view.
Was it similar to the one where Seri robbed the Ipswich defender and laid it off for Tufan to score? It’s the risk versus reward strategy that on occasion will backfire against an aggressive press but works multiples of times more than it doesn’t.
'works'!? - meaning it doesnt result in conceding a goal there's never any advantage over just taking a normal goal kick
My point was that we’re not the only team that plays that way and more often than not plays out from the back whilst maintaining possession. Ipswich got caught out doing the same thing but managed to get promoted automatically. You can point at the fact that they move the ball much more quickly from that point but the playing out from the back is the same strategy.
the point of a goal kick is to re-enter into play with possession taking risks just increases the risk of conceding a goal
I don’t mind the DJ during the warm-up but the whole pyrotechnics and cringe montages before the players walk out is so tinpot. I’m surprised more away fans don’t take the piss with a ‘what the ****ing hell is that?’ when it happens.
My German’s a little rusty, but I think it says ‘Tim Walter is the greatest/most unlucky person ever’.
"Give me lucky generals" Attributed to Napoleon or Cardinal Mazarin Mazarin had noted that one must not ask of a general “Est-il habile?” (“Is he skillful?”), but rather “Est-il heureux?” (“Is he lucky?”)
