    That could be tonight?

One of their relegation rivals Frosinone play champions Inter tonight - a defeat for them could make the final fixture against Udinese interesting. As long as Udinese pull their finger out get points against either Lecce or Empoli before then of course...

What a league this French National one is. Chateauroux in danger of dropping into the bottom six, with relegation following, sacked their head coach last Sunday with just two games to go. His assistant took over, and took the team to Nancy, who were in the top six. A 3-1 win sees Chateauroux safe, with just the one game to go.

Scored with all five shots on target. Udinese are better off on goal difference by six to the other teams in the mix. Lecce away on Monday, Empoli at home then away at Frosinone. Frankly if they don't win the last two then they pretty much deserve Serie B.

Udinese have dropped 27 points from winning tells a lot this season. By comparison Watford dropped 25. The difference for Watford is that we gained 15 points from losing positions to Udinese 5. The key point is that Watford play ten games more.

And I thought it was hard work being a Watford fan!

Sanity prevails - after taking an early lead and keeping it for nearly 50 minutes, Luton are 2-1 down at Wet Spam. If it stays that way Forest will be happy - barring a couple of heavy defeats, they are all but staying up at Luton's expense.

Last season Burnley were the standout team in the Championship. Their immediate return shows just how large the gulf is.

So - Luton need to overturn a goal difference of 12 to stay in the EPL. Somehow, I just can't see it happening - and neither can their manager/players/fans if the post-match reactions are anything to go by.

Here's hoping we can strengthen our squad for the derbies next season.

That's another of Udinese's relegation rivals biting the dust.

Empoli, the team immediately above them with 2 points more, lost 2-0 at Lazio.

A 2-0 win at Lecce this afternoon saw Udinese move out of the bottom three - up to 15th in the table.

Beat Empoli on Sunday and they stay up. Failing that, they need to win at Frosinone.
    Simples.

    This could be very interesting.

Premier League clubs will vote on whether to scrap video assistant referees (VAR) from next season at their annual general meeting next month.

Wolves have formally submitted a resolution to the Premier League which will trigger a vote when the 20 member clubs meet in Harrogate on 6 June.

The club said VAR was introduced "in good faith" but has led to "numerous unintended negative consequences that are damaging the relationship between fans and football".

It's been fun for the last couple of days listening to Rangers fans (seriously) discussing ways in which they could still win the title - "If we win by...and Celtic lose by..." Most of the discussions centred around their belief that Celtic would lose away to Kilmarnock tonight by at least two goals.
Celtic won 5-0 to retain their title. <laugh>

Leeds 3-0 Norwich, and it is only half time. My normal stream is down for unknown reasons.
