I hope he's more reliable than this bloke... Don't mention the war. I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it all right. 2024 and all is forgiven.... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...rsial-goose-stepping-Fawlty-Towers-scene.html
It was posted half tongue in cheek (but obviously has more than a grain of truth in it too). I wish him well wherever he ends up, except against us of course. I have continued to say he's v good as a TV analyst though
Strange to take such a specific snip out of my post almost as if you're excluding the context with which the comment was made.
Which is funny Norwich last season scored 57 goals Finished 13th They kept their main attackers and manager Some new recruitment And now they scored 79 and playoffs Almost like teams dont jus instantly reach their potential
Interestingly too - Bruce’s team was often not great to watch even when he got us promoted. When we played well, we played really well. But there were games when Alex Bruce was employed as a DM to really grind out results. Not often at home to be fair - but we definitely were pragmatic many times under him.
In a 46 game championship season Its inevitable you have to grind out results Its why pragmatic teams are so successfull Always outliers of course Its easy to underestimate just how gruelling 46 game season is Its a game every 5 days on average
Wagner didn’t take over until January, so you can’t really compare it against the entire season. They were dog tod under Dean Smith
Pretty sure plt was saying no plan b is a new buzz word and not that he doesnt have a plan b Whatever a plan b is
Thats just not true though is it We did struggle sometimes to get the right balance but thats part of the learning process
Except when he put Docherty on the wing to snuff out threat and help Coyle? Or when he said after the Ipswich game that he’d gone 3-4-3 in a diamond at half time to try and overload their midfield? Or when Slater started playing as an inverted full back in many games? This no plan b is nonsense. Throughout the season there were tweaks to the system. The style didn’t change for sure, but we saw many a plan b.
I'm curious how the same people who said LR 'changed' after the players talked to Tan are now saying he never changed.
2-0 down at HT to Swansea and swung the changes to change the shape and got a 2-2 draw. Threw Delap on the wing away at Leicester to change our tempo and style of attack and came away with a 1-0 win.
