so on that basis, we should be okay with it if he changes the name, afterall whats in a name we can always change it back
I’m always against this “quality of the league” argument when it comes to managers. It’s not like the players where they have to adapt to physicality etc. Also that’s a real knock on the bundesliga 2. There’s some quality teams down in that division. A lot that go up tend to fair quite well.
the bundesliga 2does have a few strong teams, but the championship is a far tougher league plus the rest and training recovery times between games is massively different we have to play 12 more games, thats massively less time to recover and train and all sorts i love german footbal and for fans its the best in the world bar none, but german football in terms of quality is heavily top ended bayern dominate it this season is leverkusens first ever title!
I just don't think that's true. I mean, I do think it's true that it's your view, but I don't think it's based on much. Most home games I attended (which was all of them, in all competitions, bar one) we played patiently but had periods of attacking verve and intense pressure. Did we finish our chances regularly enough? Absolutely not. Did we make enough chances? On occasions, no. Did we play genuinely badly on a regular basis and serve up this odd characterisation of sheep-counting every fortnight at 3pm? Absolutely not. I've stayed quiet on this because I'm not into stupid and pointless internet tos and fros. But this continued insistence that "the majority of our home form and performances were ... boring and tedious", or versions of that quote, just doesn't stand up to my scrutiny nor the scrutiny of most I know who attend home games.
There is always the chance he adapts things slightly for this league, but it looks like it will be fun all the same. Whether it can deliver a promotion or not who knows, probably depends largely on the bit of magic dust that comes with right place right time.
I never said that did i i would not be happy but lets face it he can do what he wants as he stated it's his club but i very much doubt he would ever do something as stupid as try that after the last fiasco.
Suppose there is the "intensity of our league / cup schedule argument," which clearly came as a shock to Sluts and Shota, but to counter that, other German / other European coaches have coped
Don’t disagree but I think any decent manager would look at it and adjust accordingly. From a player perspective I could get the concern but you’re talking about coaches who will find it easier to adapt
It is a good sign, they certainly create a lot of chances but he's going to have to coach our players to shoot more often. It looks like a lot of our players won't have much trouble adapting to his style. Though it would be typical if Rosie cited Walter as one of the inspirations behind his style.
thats the thing on average we play every 5days, versus every 8 days for them is it possible to play with his intensity over a full season
Yeah that’s more my point. Meyler on the 1904 pod made a great point that a while ago it was harder work in the championship. Now the games adapted and it’s less direct it is less of a slog. Modern managers from abroad can come in.
I know, I was suggesting that one way of managing players would be to have them play more conservatively as his style would cause a lot more strain.
If he's Rosenior on steroids, he'll think Allsop is on sedatives / chill pills (too laid back, lack of urgency / speed of thought)
