We don't have a manager at this moment, so I don't really care.

I’ll have a watch of some of these Hamburg games. I really don’t know much about him and his style of play bar what I’ve read on Total Football Analysis and Breaking The Lines when his name was first linked.

I noticed that. Earlier in the year I guess he was made aware his style of play was the opposite of what AL wanted to see. At times you could tell he was trying to change things a little but, with the exception of a few great games, he had limited success. What puzzles me is did he see the writing on the wall. LR's an intelligent lad, yet after one of the really poor performances he came out and said his philosophy of possession football wouldn't change, stubborn or what?. Whilst you can admire him for sticking to his beliefs I thought at the time he was asking for trouble. To say you will continue using a system that is failing seemed odd to me. What was AL supposed to think when he heard that? Surely he wasn't wanting to get out and collect his spondoolies, was he?.

Just done a little research on Tim Walter and his football is interesting to say the least. Here's a few things I noticed after watching some videos.

he plays a 4-3-3 with a holding midfielder, fans of the traditional no. 6 will be thrilled. (I also think this would suit us and allow Seri to play slightly further forward if we bring in a defensive mid to hold)

He likes to play out from the back, but whereas players were quite static under LR, they're very very mobile, centrebacks and fullbacks swapping and making runs all over the place.

Also the keeper is very much involved in build up play, coming way out to play as a defender at times.. again similar to under LR, but this is with purpose and aggression. This was the keeper positional heatmap over a season.

This is the most interesting part for me, is its not possession for the sake of it as I hardly see them pass backwards.. its very positive and attack minded.

Going forward does seem to match what Acun has been saying... I dont think we'll see many 1-0 wins to us.. he likes to overload the final 3rd and even has CB's making runs into the box... think Maguire at times under Silva, or Greaves a few times last season.

I think if we have a strong team this type of football could brute force your way out of the championship... my worry would be if you play like this in the Prem you'll get spanked.. look at Burnley this season.

In patches we did play superb football, but the majority of our home form and performances until after the stoke game were pretty boring and tedious, the stats and facts don't lie. We just have to now hope/trust that acun has made the correct choice and moving forward we improve

Tim walter uses overload permenantly set to on

    Mind you
Getting out promoted by city rivals st pauli is not a good look

We will need a very strong team to get promoted under walter in my opinion
Championship is harder to get out of than 2bundesliga

Matches will be goal fests though

Hamburg are a very big german team
And while he did bring initial good vibes and excitement
It wasnt enough in the end

Its hard to understate how much they underachieved not getting promoted 3 times

Defensive stability is one of the strongest foundations to get promoted out of the championship

And if we did manage to go up under him we'd basically be L**ds. Occasional good performance and then getting belted 8-0 by Man City.

Bizarre opening sentence! Maybe their owners liked the football that Arteta / Arsenal were producing? Maybe , even though they weren't battling at the top of he PL just yet, they enjoyed the football and could clearly see the attacking intent and capability that was being developed. Bar rare outlier occasions, I (and several others on here edit: and Acun) couldn't see the same from Rosenior.
What's been happening at Arse under Arteta has little to no relevance to us and Rosenior. Like you, I don't like them but agree he's doing a good job (unfortunately)

You disagree that football these days is too short-termist? You should go support a club like Watford then. What a weird sentence to take issue with.

In Emery's last full season Arsenal scored 73 goals. In Arteta's first 18 months his side averaged 55 goals across two seasons. Yeah they must have loved that clear attacking intent.

Acun has been around turkish football for decades
    They are not patient

And i do believe acun means it
When he says hed rather win 5-3 then lose 4-3 the next instead of winnning two games 1-0
    Rightly or wrongly
