See I knew 1-0, 0-1 and 1-1 was the way to go, if only those pesky clubs didnt got and get other scores, with those 3 results being 3 of the top 4 most common scores as proven by Stonkin.

Now if only those pesky clubs could actually get the results that stats say they should get instead of getting other totally random results instead.

Congrats Essex, well played all and a begrudging thanks to Stonks for making my prediction method be total mid table mediocracy :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Sorry for your mediocrity;). I decided on the current points system by running several simple algorithms against previous years predictions/results. This system compressed the field the most and also gave the opportunity for large points hauls. Unfortunately 1-2,2-1 predictions always came top or near-top. As soon as Essex changed predictions to all 1-2 or 2-1 I knew it had been sussed. Being the sporting chap I am, I declined to use the method :emoticon-0131-angel. I have seen other prediction leagues where the same score can only be used a certain number of times (usually twice). That might put the cat amongst the pigeons:D

Mediocracy is the word I intended to use, given that it means the dominant class of mediocre people, which in my own head is what I am :)

Maybe my method of drinking beer do not look at any stats,form or league table and guessing was not the best way then.
You guys using algorithms etc.
Anyway was good fun and thanks again stonks for doing the hard work.

It takes long years of study , to get to the level of averageness that I achieved this season :)
 
My last lot of boring stats from this season's Predict 6 League...

The number in brackets after your name is the number of correct results predicted (excluding correct scores).
The rest of the table shows your correct score counts and total of correct scores predicted overall.

I'm now on strike, at least until next season's fixtures come out. Will they be Premier League fixtures?
