Acun has talked a lot of sense in those interviews. He has backed up what lots of us have been feeling this season regarding the performances (those same feelings that were called ‘negative’ or ‘bedwetting’ by those so far up the manager’s…) While it can be considered disrespectful to go on Sky etc with his reasons, it has reassured me that we have a fantastic chairman who wants to bring entertainment, as well as success, to this football club. I said it before, but I think we are in for a very exciting season. UTT.
Not in here much, as too many life problems last few years, but I am genuinely genuinely shocked, pissed off, gutted, annoyed, the whole shebang. Rosenior did a fabulous job and he was definitely building. If we’d signed Morelos from Rangers, he would have banged the goals in, in the championship, but Rosenior did an amazing job, honestly couldn’t believe it.
He made a lot of fair points but also some that are open to criticism Commenting that promotion “would grant you 1 year” essentially inferring that by some miracle had we got promoted the leash was still fairly short for Rosenior. Whilst not unusual it doesn’t exactly conduct a beneficial relationship in building a team in my opinion. I’m also sceptical of his comments around attacking football. I get it may be vague deliberately but without a experienced football head in the boardroom it does seem like we are trying to find our way until the chairman is happy with losing 3-2 instead of drawing 0-0 as he says. I personally can get his point but some managers are going to prioritise getting points on the board sometimes. Especially the championship. I won’t criticise him for other bits as I think it can be lost in translation and despite him speaking very good English he can get a bit muddled in a long interview. Which is fair I’d be the same speaking foreign language. I’m not anti Acun by any stretch but at this stage he’s put a massive question mark on the club that needs to be answered. Of which we won’t have the answer probably till about the winter window in season
Well, I currently have City top of the Championship 12 points clear of 2nd-place Leeds after 36 games on FC 24 Career Mode on Legendary difficulty, scoring 75 goals and conceding only 24. Tufan and Delap are joint top-scorers with 20 each. I also managed to beat Plymouth 7-0. Give me the job.
Unfortunately there's a very vocal set on here who obviously didn't enjoy it. The vast majority of people I speak to outside of this board who regularly attended matches thought it was largely enjoyable with the odd bad blip.
He did an amazing job? For Morelos to score, the ball would have had to go in the oppositions box more than twice a game
Some people need to remember that English isn’t Acuns first language. If you’ve ever used google translate to transfer Turkish into English, you will see how bizarre it can be some time. so you really shouldn’t hang in his every word and take it literally
Each to their own. Maybe you were asleep during the parts of the game that most of us were watching. I must admit it made me nearly doze off a few times.
