There was an English lad whose parents moved to Spain who got one by time he was 20. And a bloke who got one at 30 in England, the first to do so. Think he is at Exeter City these days.
I’m not clear from what Acun’s said on who identified the new guys that came in January. Were they on Rosey’s wish list, or were they presented to him as “attacking players” that Rosey had to force fit into the squad? Mainly interested as it presumably has a bearing on the next manager. Whoever it is will have to accept the way Acun wants “his” club to play and the way Acun wants to run it. Will Acun be happy to be more hands off if he sees lots of “exciting” home matches next season?

He says he wasnt sacked for his league position, its purely down to his style of football. He also said he if he managed to get promoted he of course would deserve at least another season. As others have said, Acun runs the club, he's not perfect but he knows what he wants. He said on day 1 he wants quality attacking, entertaining, bums of seats football with the aim of eventual promotion, its neither one or the other. We can only assume Liam kept promising that better football will come in time, the players are learning, he's learning etc... we've heard it ourselves in countless post match interviews. Acun decided Liam hasnt delivered on his promise and his time is up... and I fully agree with him.
Yeah, maybe it was lost in translation, but it suggested the manager doesn’t have too much to do with recruitment. Specifically just from this interview, Pandur and Giles signings.
I’ve tried listening to the Humberside interview with Acun but I’m struggling with his accent. I actually find it easier to understand him when it’s video and not just audio.
The January loans chose to come to hull because of the way we play was the story on here at the time, rather than Leeds or Southampton was one of them. So if that style of play was Liams rather than Acuns, as is now being claimed it's highly unlikely that Acun and his team thrust them upon Liam.
Goes to show how the ‘Rosenior got all the players he wanted’ critics were off the mark. He got the players Acun wanted.
It seems Acun wanted to sign Giles permanently but Rosenior didn’t. Have to say, I agree with Liam on this one. Giles is not worth £4.25 million.
