There has definitely been people who has said it was crap football. I’ve admitted some games were frustrating, but on the whole across the season I’ve really enjoyed watching us play. I know some people don’t agree. That’s fine, but I think it’s unfair to say that people who enjoyed it are being blinkered.
I read it and that’s what I took from it. Im not going to get into a conversation about semantics. Too much time has been lost on those conversations.
The difference is that Barmbs did them o er, took a million quid off them to end his contract early, then signed on a free for us at the age of 29, in his prime. I’ll always be grateful to NB as I think he was a primary factor in our rising up the leagues.
I thought that under Liam the team lacked killer instinct in big moments, however, there were also times it seemed a result of player inexperience rather than Liam's preference to keep things calm and controlled. Morton choosing to pass rather than shoot, as an example. It will be interesting to see how our desire to sign promising, young – and therefore less experienced – players will work with whoever comes in next.
No Baz is linking Cooper because he has the calibre required, only a select few get the honour to manage our great club.
Could be complete ****e so PLEASE take with a pinch of salt but my friend just text me saying his pal spotted Cooper getting out of a car at the KC so could explain Baz it’s 90% complete ****e…
I don’t know much about Walter. A quick Google search and reading a couple of articles on tactico websites suggests his style of play is building from the back starting with the keeper and possession-based, but once they reach the final third the passing is much more direct and ‘vertical’. Sounds a bit like Postecoglou’s football at Spurs and Celtic i.e. possession-based but not purely for the sake of it and brave, albeit risky, passing, a high line and aggressive pressing. So if he is the man we may see more exciting attacking football than under Rosenior but we may be on the receiving end of some tonkings, or at least concede quite a few.
