Hang on, I'm not saying he should have been sacked at all. I'm saying if Acun wants to pretend it wasn't about where we finished he should have done it in March. Wouldn't be like you to put words in my mouth though.
There needs to be a realisation for some that nothing is guaranteed. Keeping Rosenior has no guarantees of success. Sacking him and replacing him has no guarantees of success. Questioning the owner’s decisions is fine. Trashing him is counterproductive, damaging and deluded.
I am perfectly happy not having fights, but if people want to put words in my mouth I'll refute them.
At what point of the season with the new manager will the “these aren’t his players, he needs at least three transfer windows so we can assess him properly” bullshit start? Will it be just before, or just after, the “sack him” bullshit starts?
Big AL made the right call in my mind but I agree with the point you make.Tan said at the time of the interview, the process was thorough, they knew LR's DNA, so why were they so surprised at the system he played? He stuck to his stubborn beliefs which, despite progression moving up the league table, failed to deliver a playoff place and he's paid the price. Money talks. My guess is the biscuit man is pulling the strings. I can see him taking control in the future with having the financial clout AL doesn't have to be a premiership team.
Why wouldn't you stick to your beliefs if it's seeing progression up the table though? It seems odd to doubt yourself if you're seeing its success.
But the belief was that it would be done through attacking football, this didn't transpire. Whilst the playoffs looked on he was willing to see past it but without that, then reality sets in.
you're not taking this well are you - he's gone - he failed to capitalise on a solid position in the top 6 in December - his style of football has never been a good look, especially on the entertainment side but also translating into results - too many missed chances, too many poor performances scraping wins such as Rotherham away and Huddersfield away - yes there have been some excellent results but we've been far to inconsistent and the totally frustrating backwards, sideways, backwards sideways along our back four and keeper has been pointless, turgid and life draining - in short, complete crap - and that's why he's gone because he was incapable, or probably refused to sort it out and do it any other way - I have no idea who will come in but one thing I can all say with confidence, ****ing about at the back, like we have all season won't be on the menu
