I’ve never seen a player’s stock fall so quickly on here. Early season, Rosenior was getting pelters whenever he didn’t play. Lolikilo was the only player who provided balance, etc. He was injured similar time as Philo, and was terrible in a couple of his first games back. He was suddenly City’s worst player ever. Unusually, Liam seemed to agree and was gone in a flash.
At the beginning of the season, I thought we had brought him in as a squad player, a lot happened afterwards! Similar with Longman. Both dependable, won’t set the world on fire but come in and know how to do a job. I guess not taking up too much in wages. Both were moved on to ensure we can get the best XI, when usually it’s the best squads that get promotion.

So you’re saying his two managerial appointments were bad decisions and the only good footballing decisions he’s made was to sack them to cover for his earlier bad decisions.

Basically he’s made no good footballing decisions.

Interesting. Personally I think Brentford and Brighton should be our inspiration. There clubs around the same size as us.

Brighton 3 managers in 10 years and Brentford two managers in 9 years.

As some have said, the pressure is on Acun and the team more than ever. But I think he will relish it and take the club forward, even more so.

I think emotions have got the better of those who have lost faith, which is understandable as Liam Rosenior did a good job and is a nice guy.

However, Acun has always said ‘one family, one dream.’ While the vast majority on here are decent people, this season’s football has divided us many times. I believe getting a manager in who plays attacking football at home will bring more goals and unite us.

I think we are going to be in for a very exciting season (and transfer window!). UTT.

Will Still would be a realistic option and an improvement on Rosenior. Id prefer him over Cooper or Rohl.

There’s a lot of praise for Fabio and you can for his goals , but what an idle player most of the time . Wanted the ball to his feet only , and on Saturday was missing , how some put him in MOM I don’t know . Morton was too. Think Saturday the way we played made Acun’s mind up . We reverted to no idea , no effort , see above , . Could you have imagined Acun if the Baggies had lost and we’d played that way !!!
Some have suggested Rosie made them play the ponderous way in recent games , but those performance were sandwiched in between really positive good ones , how does a manager do that ? Is it the pre match talk or the old ‘keep it safe for half an hour ?
Lastly if you have two key players who think they might be going , Fabio going back to Liverpool are these players going to risk injury before returning to their club where they want maximum opportunity in the close season - to be fair Greaves and Jaden didn’t shy from tackles but Fabio and Morton were missing .
Why in the previous games did we pass forwrd through the middle and on Saturday it was sideways especially Seri , what changed ?
    Any answers ?

Yesterday, we were a club perceived to be on the up, a club with a young manager who had a playing style that was admired by many, an owner in tune with the fans who'd doubled attendances, a club that was an attractive loan proposition for young talent from top clubs.

Today, we're perceived to just be another club with a nut-job foreign owner, who's thrown all that out the window and decided to start again from scratch.

Whether you liked Rosenior or not and whoever comes in to replace him, this is not a good look for us as a club.

I see also a certain Pedro Martins name is doing the rounds again. Now that would be a story.

"Rosie had no idea this was coming" says our resident fool.
    Not according to Baz Cooper.
Things had got worse between Acun and Rosenior since January
    "Too many draws at home"
    "Acun had put in £24m"
All you have to do is to use basic common sense.
I was amazed that not one person said they agreed with Acun's decision at The New Walton Club.
At least the ex professional footballers - Meyler and Prutton - understood the decision.

Understanding a decision in hindsight is very clearly not the same as seeing it coming in Rosenior's shoes. He very clearly did not expect to be out of a job after Saturday.

I agree with you. They do their research.
I still back Acun over sacking Rosenior although getting the next manager right wont be easy.

I've had similar feelings to be fair. Its a complicated one as I didn't like football under Liam but the sacking has brought doubt over Acun for the first time.

I think he made two mistakes with his managerial appointments so far. Shota was a terrible choice and Liam was a gamble. It was a huge ask for a inexperienced manager to get us promoted and it does feel harsh to then sack him when he doesn't get us over the line.

Saying that, Acun isn't here to make friends, he wants results and to see us promoted. If he felt after 18 months that Liam couldn't do that, he's more than in his right to make a change. Better now than early in the new season.

Onwards and upwards hopefully, but the pressure is on Acun now for the first time, honeymoon period is officially over.

Burnley/Twine will have decided on the move to Bristol City because he was being played out of position at Hull City.

I don’t know anything about him, but a quick google search makes it seem like he’s just as inexperienced as Rosie and is leaving Reims on the back of only 2 wins in 14. Genuine question, why the hype?

Sounds like he’d drive the old-schoolers on here nuts. Get him in!
