I have observed quietly from a distance during the course of the last season. The board lacks a certain panache and I feel now is the time to return. I have missed the likes of yourself and Rerver and the intellectual cut and thrust that goes with our interactions. I am glad to be back in the fold.
I have no idea who he is, for some reason I always think he was someone that cracked football manager
game of opinions but come on. cooper is absolutely far better then Rosie, promotion, play off final and survival in the prem…
I wonder how many people who doubted/questioned this thing about players going above Rosie, will still challenge it now rose has gone?
It just displays poor decision-making from those at the top. The home form has been poor all year, it's not a new thing but why give him a new contract in December? Home form was bad then too and it's not like we had to give him a new deal. It's just a lack of rationality.
Not really, they backed him in Dec with a new contract and then backed him well in the window, LR had everything he needed to hit the play offs. It also backed the club with a potentially bigger compo value if LR did do well and was poached.
It could’ve been something as simple as Rosenior saying he wants to give so and so an extended contract but not another player, Acun said ‘no, we’re not doing that’ and they butted heads and it was the final straw for Acun.
The simplest explanation is usually the correct one. Acun is clearly an impatient man and wants to see instant success. I don’t think there’s much else to it, in all honesty. Whether the style is fun, boring, or in between, I think he just wants quick success. I don’t know what the future holds, but I think it’ll include a handful of managers.
It absolutely happened. As with others who posted about it I don't care if people believe what I say on here or not. It's a place for chatting about city, unless I missed something there are no awards for being a know it all. People can bury their heads in the sand all they want but elite level players coming from elite level clubs ain't going to sit around and be coached by someone they don't rate. And at the same time they won't be shouting from the roof tops about it because they want to get another deal somewhere at some point.
Could also be we could have 3 left backs come preseason and not one of them is a standout first choice. I know that’s a bit far fetched but some transfer decisions have been odd
Coopers first season at Swansea he finished on 70 points (6th). Liams first full season he finished on 70 points (7th) Coopers first season at Swansea they scored 62 goals. Liams first full season we scored 68 goals. Liam is young and learning. He's put the foundations in to be successful here. Is Cooper such an upgrade to warrant ripping all that up and starting again? One hell of a risk.
Watch it GEO.... I like you had never heard of him, but Hammers were considering him as their next before they decided on whatever his name is.. irrespective of who our next is, it is a great insight from a coach to the approach to a game and then reactions during it..
The transfers have been erratic since Acun took over. There are several people at fault for those errors, and they’re not all called Liam.
