Funny to read comments people telling Acun what he shouldn’t do on various platforms from people who used to tell people criticising Allam that it was his club and he can do what wants with it and they should either buy the club or shut up.
Total myth. Allsop, McLoughlin, Traore, Malcolm, Woods, Docherty, Allayhar, and many more; need I go on? Slater, Delap, Philogene, Greaves are all young lads who naturally develop into men's football. Coyle gives 100% (even 110%).
Did anyone listen to the 1904 podcast, why didn’t Giles and more importantly coyle start. why when we are chasing the game did we then change our fullbacks
I thought this when Rosie signed a bit new contract. Brighton like their ducks in a row, or they want to know who their next manager is. If Rosie doesn’t go anywhere and end up at Brighton we all know the answer.
Totally mixed messages. Baz acting as mouthpiece saying they spoke after plymouth. Something has seriously fallen apart in my opinion
It’s amusing to see so many turn on Acun so quickly over a decision that could very well be the correct one. The likes of me and Howden and others got accused of being reactionary, fickle, negative and ‘bed-wetters’ for criticising Rosenior so it’s quite cathartic in a way lmao. It’s like two extremes of the Botanic meat-riders who treat Acun like some infallible god and people who are now making out like he’s personally executed Rosenior.
He gave us Tetteh and Oscar. Not cheap. He then gave Rosenior Connolly and Delap. Also attacking players like Twine, Carvahlo, Philogene, Omur on top of the attacking talent he'd already brought in that Rosenior either didn't fancy, didn't develop (see what I did there) or didn't get much out of. Rosenior didn't want Oscar back, but instead was ok with signing off Sharp and Ohio!!! And seemed to have a preference for different sort of players. There's been support, plenty of it.
I'm on the fence until the next season. Like anyone will give a new manager time and hope results follow. Just feels like the building blocks we had this season have gone now and its needing a homerun to get promotion which they so clearly desire
Logs on,likes post, logs back out... #If Acun was a chocolate biscuit he'd have consumed himself some time ago.
Is that on social media? I avoid city related groups etc because I find them, um, not filled with sensible people and discussion. To put it politely. On here it’s seemed to be mostly WTF is going on. Acun isn’t now the devil, but has done something very surprising and currently unexplained - “our visions weren’t aligned” my arse. I’ve loved the feel good factor Acun has brought back to the club, I’d be very disappointed if he ****ed that up now. I’m not singing his name, I’m not calling him out, I’m standing here with my arms folded and a raised eyebrow. His move next.
I didn't see that coming so soon. They have different dreams. LR wanted more time to refine his failed system of playing football. Big AL sounds as though he couldn't give him that time. Three wins in the final 13 games probably sealed his fate. Progress has definitely been made as you would expect with a decent squad including 3 England under 21 internationals, but not enough to save his job.
Thank you Liam, you deserved better… https://newblogs.thelikesofhull.co.uk/2024/05/07/thank-you-liam-you-deserved-better/
I’ve not turned on him. I do believe it’s the wrong decision that will knock back the progress we’ve made, Anything less than 6th next season means it’s the wrong decision. If you also consider the progress LR had made this season then I’d probably consider anything less than promotion as a fail. Acun’s mantra is now without substance. I don’t believe questioning an extremely controversial & irrational decision is “turning on him”.
