So what happens next season if he's chucked £10m at it again we finish out of the playoffs? Nah, sorry Acun, **** off with your one family one dream ****.
Exactly my point of view. He’s changed the club so much from the last pair it’s unrecognisable, thank God. Doesn’t mean I trust anyone who owns a football club though. You’ll have never caught me asking him to wave at me that’s for sure
Not a fan of the dear leader **** End of the day Hes in it for himself Like any owner and he hopes to benefit from getting a cheap premier league team Grateful ofcourse But not worshipping the man
Interesting take, I don't follow the Turkish league, so I had missed out on the criticism of the Fenerbahce management appointment. I could see this affecting his judgement of Liam's achievements this year. I think Acun was displeased with Liam's plan to start games without a recognised striker on the pitch.
My dictionary (or indeed any other) will confirm that context in which a word is used is the operative factor. But you continue blaming others for knee jerking when the most evident knee jerk on here today is coming from you. Ironically.
At the beginning Assem was a lot less rash and more considered than Acun. Yes sacking Barmby was harsh, but it was because Bruce was attainable and he was the best guarantee of promotion you could get at this level. There's nobody in the market who's of that level at the minute. Maybe Moyes but he's a level above Bruce and not attainable. Cooper's good but he's still a young manager, he's only 5 years older than Rosey.
Well I wasn't expecting this tbh, and as a few have mentioned, I'm not sure that this will encourage the likes of Delap back to us. I've no idea what's gone on, but the final say is with the owner, if he thinks he can get someone to do a better job then so be it, liked Rosie a lot, but at times his style hampered us given the attacking talent we had at our disposal. I'd be amazed if someone isn't waiting in the wings already, however I thought this when they got rid of Shota, and that took a month ! We live in hope that he gets the biggest of decisions right.
All we can do, ultimately. Well that or froth about it on t'internet. It's a big call to justify though, no doubt about it.
Well if it is because we didn't make the playoffs (which wouldn't have guaranteed promotion) then I expect its promotion or another new manager next year and the year after and so on until Acun has enough and sells up
that doesnt mean there wasnt a clause in his contract. How should they have sacked him? Not bother with a meeting?
Ultimately - this changes the summer plans completely. If we were relying on getting the best young talent on loan from big clubs again - we’ll need a manager they are confident we will be developing them the way they want. If we are changing our style - will the new manager have a deep enough squad of players available that will do that? Are we still having the same tactic of buying young and developing or do we want more experience. It’ll be interesting.
I would have thought that Acun didnt think Liam would get promotion next year I dont think you can expect it to happen every year if we dont get promotion
Cooper is brilliant at that. He was pivotal in winning the u17s WC, but he did mess up the Euros final which cost us the trophy. He's definitely trusted though by big clubs to develop talent. He did a fantastic job with the likes of Guehi, Spence etc.
