Need to get the sizing sorted next season on the kits, definitely. My XL kappa shirt is more of a body stocking but the Umbro L shirts all still fit fine, so I'm not that much of a fat bastard. I think the timing of shotas sacking had a lot to do with them thinking they'd got Martins, which then fell through at a late stage. At least this time it's a logical time to make a change..
We played a more fluid, high tempo attacking version of the style we've played all season, up until the "talk" LR was to cautious, to pedestrian and was stifling the talent by over coaching ( those aren't my words ).
I do like Rosie and wanted him to succeed but, all sentiment aside, we lost more home games this season than last. That one stat alone could have done for him.
Never a dull moment supporting Hull City , apart from at 3.25 on a Saturday afternoon watching the ball being passed side to side in our own half for an eternity this season !
I could have sworn I saw that Kieran McKenna fellow waving to the Ipswich fans on the tour bus...Perhaps he was saying tat-tar...!! PS...On the day Sono Aluko announces his retirement.
What I cannot get my head around is Acun being called out for this. Football is just a business. In our own workplaces if targets aren't reached there have to be answers and if there aren't answers there are consequences. I cant have anyone calling Acun out for wanting the absolute best for this club and City and patently and we all knew it LR wasn't it. We're not dealing in thousands here, we're dealing in millions, tens of. LR was a man who couldnt get his team up for the vast majority of big occasions, Saturday being one of them and on every occasion when the ownership went out on a limb with free tickets et al. If we had been on the play offs, I think the result would have been the same and that would have been even harder to take. I quoted his win ratio yesterday, thats what got him sacked. So tell me this, what is the great thing about Hull City currently, the ownership or was it LR. Because sure as hell I know what my answer is and whose trust I put my support in. Knee jerk my arse... see the wood for the trees people.,.
Ultimately it's got to be the home form that's done for him. Reckon if home and away form was flipped then he might have started next season, as it's a bit easier to justify - but when you're proving the sides potential in terms of away record, then regularly come up short at home then it points to not maximising the potential of the squad unfortunately, and then any owner is going to look for an underlying reason. Big call though, and an appointment that has to be got right. No pressure.
I’ve said previously that if I had to keep one, I’d rather keep Acun than Rosenior. That being said, Acun must get his next managerial appointment spot on. Another crap managerial appointment on par with Shota and a summer of buying expensive duds will sour the mood quickly. This could be a Barmby > Bruce trajectory but it could just as easily be a Eustace > Rooney one.
Was in a cafe bar in Corfu years ago full of locals when another holidaymaker walked in and asked for a Turkish coffee. You could have heard a pin drop as they all glared at him.
Not really. Turks and Greeks are quite alright beside politics and election times (both countries have election at same year recently which creates tension for local votes), from a Turkish perspective, it is the only EU country we have visa exemption, I'd say they are closer than Arabs, and as far as I know both side blame UK first on Cyprus issue to be honest then blame each other, real dispute between countries are maritime zone. Moreover Acun has an ongoing TV show in Greece for like 7-8 years and it is usually leading the charts.
Plenty dont understand contracts Think of "contract terminated if you dont finish in top six" clause.
